A Rev12 Poem for the Pastor

Many of us have been disheartened for years at the lack of urgency in the pulpit regarding Bible prophecy.  When news of the Revelation 12 Sign came along many of us hoped this would wake up those silent pastors asleep at the wheel.  Instead the opposite happened.... Those silent remained silent and even the vast majority of those preaching on the end times ignored or disparaged the great sign.

There is one more Sunday before the sign appears...  We don't know what will happen or when, but surely this alignment straight out of Revelation is worthy of attention.  If not now pastor then when? Did not God place you there to teach and to lead?

Our sister Sue gives them this one final plea...

What if what you believe, suddenly becomes unbelievable?
Why must the Word go from strange to inconceivable?

The Great sign of Revelation is here, so what will you do?
I say to the pastor, not the choir nor the pew.

It’s true, I’m not famous. Not of the Christian elite.
Neither was the woman, who anointed Jesus’ feet.

Yet I dare challenge the called, the committed, true believers.
I’m just trying to be obedient. Trust me, I don’t like this either.

See I have no congregation, no one comes to hear me preach.
So I followed God’s clear leading, to those with longer reach.

But the pious fear the stars, so give the devil his due.
He’s done a great job shielding, constellations are taboo.

But Satan distorts what is pure, so what did you expect?
He’s a master at perverting, he did the same thing with sex.

The Bible is clear about Christ’s birth, His death and resurrection.
Why is so hard to believe He would announce His brides assentation?

I’m not setting a date, just pointing to the times when Jesus said “look up”.
The Bible is clear, so please lend an ear, and tell the lost it's time to wake up!

I’m not worried about Gods children, only those who are left behind.
They will surely be scared, sad and confused, and looking for a sign.

You know God chose your birthday, and you for this season.
Isn’t it your job to leave them something to believe in?

They scoff at the written Word, no matter how well you may teach.
So why not point to the sun and stars, where only God's hand can reach?

But ‘End Times? Revelation? Come on...' I can almost hear you sigh.
Don’t blame me, a reluctant watchman. God made the skies.

But “He comes as a thief in the night”! True, but keep reading.
We are sons of the light, so don’t fall asleep! And the thief you WILL be seeing!

No need to set dates, just preach the Word, and pray the church will share.
Because they won't have a clue, about the first thing to do, when the churches become bare.

  3. I'm in my 50s and I've been going to church most of my life. I've heard exactly one sermon on Revelation and that was when I was 10.

    1. I'm almost 51 ;) but got "only" saved in the 11th hour... Matthew 20:6 and was excited about bible prophecy from the start. Did no longer find any local church then, they are all kind of Laodicean type. In my country Germany, prophecy is not the big deal - I do assume for historical reasons (Sardis-Reformation being predominant but that was 500 years ago, they're but preaching milk now). Some pastors even don't speak English to be up to date there because much of the literature and sermons are written and held in English, as well as the current developments and discoveries. But I think pastors worldwide should be able to read and understand current 'world language' such as everybody understood Koine Greek as interlanguage around the Mediterranean 2,000 years ago. Traditionally, 'any time imminency' is taught and everything literal in Revelation spiritualized. Much error derives from German-based bible criticism during the 1960s and replacement theology. PTL I have learned a lot by asking the Holy Spirit John 16:13 / James 1:5 and by using the internet, what a blessing HALLELUJAH!!

  4. It is great to be raptured while you are asleep and wake up to heaven. But it is a greater blessing and honour to welcome the King knowing His arrival time! Pastors must not rob their congregation of this utmost privilege.

  5. Let me copy paste my poem here:

    A MIRACLE OF LIGHT

    everything is silent
    no miracle in sight

    everything is silent
    just a little, distant light

    everything is silent
but that small light now quickly grows

    everything's still silent
and now it's really really close

it hits the earth so loud
    lightning, thunders in the clouds

    Jesus standing at the door
people with their faces on the floor

the trumpet sounds, the sparkles fly
the saints are raising to the sky

    all the earth's in shock
    left behind: a scattered flock

the terror of that last hour
allows the beast to rise in power

    SO LISTEN:

the end is near and time is short
to call for mercy from the LORD

GOD is righteous, GOD is just
the punishment of sin a must

but - HALLELUJAH! - through HIS will
grace and love are greater still

that's why GOD gave his only son
who came, obeyed and truly won

so that if you believe in him
HE'll forget 'bout all your sin

call on Jesus here and now,
get on your knees, don't hesitate to bow

the moment you confess him with your lips
is when his deep love really hits

say: "Jesus please forgive me! I am lost!"
he answers: "I forgive you at no cost!"

within your heart now burns a light
and it keeps burning day and night

and when at times it seems
that everything is silent and no miracle in sight

    remember what it really means
that in your heart is burning a miracle of light

  6. "The virgin of Israel has fallen, she shall no more rise" Amos 5:2 The virgin giving birth is obviously not Israel; Jupiter has never and will never be associated with Jesus or His followers; Babylonians called Jupiter "Marduk"; Greeks "Zeus"; Egyptians "Osiris". Rev 12:6 and 12:14 describe the same 1260 Day Great Tribulation; 12:14 uses the exact same language Dan 12:7 does "Time, Times, Dividing of Time (half). How can anyone read Pre-Trib Rapture into this?

    1. Amos 5:2 perhaps is true as Israel will never have or rise to the glory of David and Solomon but that is only true in this present dispensation. Israel will be restored during the Millennial Kingdom where Jesus rules from Jerusalem and Ezekiel’s Temple. So Israel rises no? The ‘Wonder’ of the Virgin is a multifaceted array of prophecy. It is in one case, Israel. As an Amateur Astronomer, I can attest that all the Signs of the Mazzaroth have their antithesis thanks to the distortion of the Luciferians. It is just what perspective you chose to take. The pre-Trib Rapture thus has to occur before this ‘Virgin’, being Israel can thus go for the 1260 days thereafter. I think you are on the wrong forum.

    3. Louis, Jesus gathers the Dry Bones of Israel (Eze 37:1) David will be king over them (Exe 37:24). There is no Millennial Temple; Jesus is the "Tabernacle" Exe 37:27 He destroys the 3rd Temple and Throne of Zeus/Jupiter aka Satan's Seat and Abomination of Desolation at the 2nd Coming. Ezekiel's Temple (Exe 40-48) is after "Gog and Magog"; 1000 years after the 2nd Coming as stated clearly in Exe 38:1; Rev 20:7-8.

    4. It's Luis not 'Louis'. You totally miss then all the allotments for the Tribes, the Priestly portion and City and for the Temple that are going to be sectioned off, or is it all allegory, pues? You are almost there Hermano!

    5. Luis, I'm quoting directly from Scripture; The Wedding of the Lamb (Rev 19:7) would not be possible if the Bride of Jesus is Raptured before then. Allotments for the Tribes? Explain why Juda is missing the "h" (God is with me) in Rev 7. Why is Ephraim completely missing? There is no Millennial Temple in Scripture; why "God does not dwell in Temples made with hands" Acts 7:48; 17:24

    7. Oh, about the 'h', it is because in Espanol, here is no 'h', it is just Juda and the 4th Temple of Ezekiel will be made not by man's 'hand' but Christ Jesus' hand. This is my favorite part of the poem, what you think? 'The Bible is clear about Christ’s birth, His death and resurrection.
Why is so hard to believe He would announce His brides assentation?'

    8. The KJV is an English rendering of Texts Receptus having nothing to do with Spanish; the "h" is also seen in Abram becoming Abraham and Sarai becoming Sarah with their covenant with Melchisedek (Jesus). New Bible versions are derived from BF Westcott and FJA Hort rendering of Vaticinus. 1 Cor 15:52 "Last Trump" 1 Thess 4:16 "Trump of God" are not hard to understand; the 7th Trumpet is the Wedding of the Lamb (Rev 19:7). I'm not Anonymous; my name is Howard Ratcliffe; my site is www.Theresnothingnew.org/ It's just hard to debate fairly when Scottie and Gary remove my material

    9. Howard, how can the "last trump" in 1 Cor. 15:52 be referring to the 7th trumpet in Revelation when Revelation was written decades after 1 Corinthians? -Jon

    10. Jesus wrote the entire Bible; Alpha and Omega. Revelation is His testimony delivered to a man on an island 66 years after the Crucifixion via the Holy Ghost. It is a Warning and Summary of the Great Tribulation, Millennium and Eternity. Pre-Trib Rapture is the most Laodicean Lie there is; nothing but feel good nonsense. You want to join the Wedding of the Lamb in Rev 19:7, you need to stand fast to truth until the 7th Trumpet. Howard www.Theresnothingnew.org/

    11. Jon, look at the wording "mystery of God should be finished" Rev 10:7; same "mystery" in 1 for 15:52. Rev 10 is devoted to the 7th Angel.

    12. Howard, are you suggesting a post-tribulation rapture?

      Delete
    13. The Great Tribulation is 1260 days; Time, times and 1/2 or Dividing of Time; 42 months. Revelation describes this period; the book was written 96 AD before the 7 Churches existed; the 7 Seals are restraints on Evil being released; the 7 Trumpets last the duration of the Great Tribulation ending with the 7th Trumpet/Wedding of the Lamb. Wrath is not destined for followers of Jesus; the 7 Vials released by 7 Angels on unbelievers. Body Resurrection (1 Cor 15:52; 1 Thess 4:17 is at the 7th and final Trumpet, the Trump of God. The Trump of the 4th Beast (Dan 7:7) when Satan is bound 1000 Years and Antichrist and False Prophet are the first to enter the Lake of Fire. The Millennium follows with Gog and Magog at the end; Satan is finally cast into the Lake of Fire for Eternity. Hope it helps

    14. I am not convinced in anything other than a pre-tribulation rapture for a multitude of reasons. Particularly the pre-tribulation rapture fits in with O.T. typology, whereas the others do not. Such as:

      1) Enoch and the flood (Gen. 5-7)
      2) Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah (Gen. 19)
      3) Joseph, his gentile bride, and the 7 year famine (Gen. 41)
      4) Rahab and the Jewish spies (Josh. 2)
      5) Abigail and David (1 Sam. 25)
      6) Song of Solomon 2:8-13
      7) Isaiah 26:20-21
      8) Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar, and the fiery furnace (Dan. 2-3)
      9) Zephaniah 2:2-3
      10) Malachi 3
      11) Isaac and Rebekah
      12) Ruth and Boaz

This is not all inclusive, but you cannot help but see the pre-trib types and shadows. We may not agree, but as J.D. Farag says, we'll "agree to disagree agreeably." :)

      God bless.

    15. The basis of the 7 Yr Tribulation and Rapture is Dispensationalism. Why would God state "The virgin of Israel has fallen, she shall no more rise" (Amos 5:2) and explain the reason as adopting the Six Pointed Star of Moloch/Chiun (Amos 5:26) which Israel flies on their flag today; and state twice Jacob shall not arise (Amos 7:2-3;5-6KJV)
No question about Rev 12:1 being fulfilled Sept 23; the problem is God states the Man of Sin will be revealed first. The virgin cannot possibly be Israel; Leo is Pharoah's Double Crown; clothed with the Sun (Mithra/Solis Invictus=Sol=Apollo "Destroyer"), standing on the Moon (Arab god Allah) impregnated by Comet C/2017 "Borisov" ( God Like) cannot possible describe the Christian Church; Jupiter is Marduk, the Babylonian version of the Assyrian Nibiru aka Planet X (Crossing), the vision Constantine saw in the sky in the 4th century to rally followers of Jesus to pick up the Sword with IHS "By this sign conquer". Satan, Devil, Serpent, Lucifer (Rev 12:9) has done a magnificent job fooling the world.

    16. The Scripture also says that the restrainer must be taken out of the way before the revealing of the wicked one (2 Thess. 2:7-8). Who is the restrainer? Most likely the holy spirit. Who indwells believers, the church? The holy spirit.

The tribulation is the time of JACOB'S trouble. Who is Jacob? Israel.

      Delete
  7. Refer to Amos 7:2-3 KJV and 7:5-6 KJV Jacob shall no more arise. The restrainer is Jesus Christ removing Himself during the Great Tribulation; 4 Horsemen the most visible example or restraint being removed. Jacob's Trouble (Jer 30:7) implies that Jacob is in Israel; this is not the case. Jesus gathers the Dry Bones of Israel; Ashkenazi's descend from Japheth-Gomer-Ashkenaz and are Germanic not Semite.

    1. That doesn't definitively identify Christ as the restrainer. You mentioned the four horsemen. The Lamb is in heaven opening a seal. He's not "removing himself."

  9. Jesus is Father, Son, Holy Ghost and Word (Jn 1:1; 1 Jn 5-7KJV) The Holy Ghost is the only restrainer in the New Covenant which is based on the Holy Ghost, delivered to man at Pentecost. 4 Horsemen Conquer, remove Peace, collapse the world economy and bring Death and Hell. Black Horse has 2 Balances, one for those who accept the Mark of the Beast, another for those who refuse it. Jesus is very definitely the Restrainer.

    1. Jesus is NOT the Father and Jesus is NOT the Holy Ghost. This goes against the very basics of the trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three DISTINCT parts of one God. To say that Jesus is the Father would mean that Jesus was praying to Himself during His earthly ministry.

Colossians 3:2-4

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Philippians 3:20-21

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
