Luke 2:21-25
Circumcision of Jesus
21 And when eight days were completed for the circumcision of the Child, His name was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before He was conceived in the womb.

Jesus Presented in the Temple
22 Now when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were completed, they brought Him to Jerusalem to present Him to the Lord 23 (as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”), 24 and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, “A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.”

Simeon Sees God’s Salvation
25 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27 So he came by the Spirit into the temple. And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, 28 he took Him up in his arms and blessed God and said:

Luke 2:29-35
29 “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, According to Your word; 30 For my eyes have seen Your salvation 31 Which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, 32 A light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, And the glory of Your people Israel.” 33 And Joseph and His mother marveled at those things which were spoken of Him. 34 Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against 35 (and a sword will pierce through your own soul also), so that thoughts from many hearts may be revealed.”

Genesis 17:12-14 12 He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised, every male child in your generations, he who is born in your house or bought with money from any foreigner who is not your descendant. 13 He who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money must be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. 14 And the uncircumcised male child, who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; he has broken My covenant.”

Leviticus 12:1-4
The Ritual After Childbirth 12 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If a woman has conceived, and borne a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of her customary impurity she shall be unclean. 3 And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised. 4 She shall then continue in the blood of her purification thirty-three days. She shall not touch any hallowed thing, nor come into the sanctuary until the days of her purification are fulfilled.

Jonah 3:1-4 Jonah Preaches at Nineveh Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the second time, saying, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.” 3 So Jonah arose and went to Nineveh, according to the word of the Lord. Now Nineveh was an exceedingly great city, a three-day journey in extent. 4 And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!

Genesis 7:10 10 And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood were on the earth.

Leviticus 25:9 9 Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land.

The mockers hae played their role very well thus far. The video is raw and does not edit what some of the mockers have said.

  2. Nice job pulling this all together here Brad. Have been "chewing" on a lot of this specific material very hard for the last 36 hours. Seems to me like there is a collective weight of credibility here to merit serious consideration as a very real possibility. Maranatha Lord Yeshua!!! Watchman35

  3. All of a sudden I'm seeing people talking about a seven day warning in Noah's time. The people of Noah's day had warning the entire time he was building the ark as he was preaching while he was building. Needless to say his efforts were fruitless. Once the door of the ark was closed and the rain began to fall, and the flood waters began to rise it was too late. The closing of the door of the ark closed any chance the others had to change their minds. It was a done deal. And by enclosing Noah and his family in the ark before the waters came they were not subject to one bit of the flood waters. I would also like to say that a better comparison to that time with regards to the rapture is Enoch and not Noah. Enoch was removed prior to the judgement. Noah and his family had to ride out the judgment. We need to be very careful not to over reach or try to bend Scripture to fit the latest, popular theory. Things seem to be getting quite out of hand.

    1. I understand what you are trying to say. But this is more like the correlation because Jesus said that the endtime will be like the day of Noah. And there is maybe coincidentally or not 7 days from the Rev 12 Sign which is a warning from God to the Day of Atonement

    2. That is always a concern of mine as well... I don't want to add to, or take away from scripture. We must be careful, but that concern should not limit our desire to study or learn.... There are so many patterns in scripture and everything is so interconnected that it makes it hard to isolate. I appreciate your concern Linda and in all things we must rely on The Holy Spirit and not lean to heavily on our own understanding.

    3. Brad, it's also very concerning to me that folks are taking liberties with God's precision in fulfilling the latter Feasts. His precision and unquestionable accuracy in fulfilling the spring Feasts is undeniable. I believe He will have the same precision and accuracy in fulfilling the fall Feasts. Just some background - I'm a Messianic Jew. I grew up with the Feasts and God used them in a big way to speak His truth to me. The first time I read Zechariah 12: 10-14 after I had become a believer I was amazed at how much that passage screamed Yom Kippur to me. After over 30 years of studying Scripture I believe that the event in Zechariah will be the fulfillment of Yom Kippur and that it will indeed happen on Yom Kippur. I had also been one to believe that the rapture would fulfill Rosh HaShanna, but only because that's what's been taught for so long and people tend to accept "the norm." In looking at Rosh HaShanna anew I am actually leaning more towards a different event fulfilling Rosh HaShanna, which would free the rapture to happen at any time (at God's discretion) just as the trumpets were used at the time of the tabernacle in the wilderness to indicate who was to move and where depending on the pattern of the signal (Numbers 10). I'm am just beginning to research the signing of the seven year peace treaty/beginning of the Tribulation as fulfilling Rosh HaShanna and ushering in the Week of Affliction (another name for the time between the two feasts) that is between Rosh HaShanna and Yom Kippur. We shall see where this leads. Shalom!

    4. Linda, Brad - dear brethren! The 7 days of Noah make much sense to me as well (and ever have). My personal thought on this: Now as Rev12-sign has been fulfilled and mockers hell breaks loose against true watchmen because nothing specific happened and insulting them as heretics and idiots there might be no more chance at all to share the gospel to anybody during this time as God uses this period to even deepen the schism between believers and unsaved "Christians" by name only (1 John 2:19).

I always try to imagine Noah going into the ark 7 days before the rain together with all the animals entering from all along (which was a true miracle and could plainly be watched by everybody else!) and the weather was fine. Neither Noah nor anybody else had experienced rain before; such as we don't know the rapture and what might happen then. And then the miracle was over, Noahs family and the animals had entered the ark, the sun was still shining, calm weather. First day passes, second... Still fine, nothing special. People turn their backs on what Noah had preached 120 years long and what they did see with the animals right before. They begin to laugh about all this, call him a dumbass perhaps and continue with eating and drinking. No one knocks at the door of the ark to ask Noah how to interpret the sign why the animals supernaturally lined up to enter the ark. Until the seventh day... But too late then. The door was closed.

We'll see anyway, I have certain feeling somehow we will leave in 2017. God will care to fulfill His feast days however He wants to. Hebrews 10:37 MARANATHA!!

    5. Maybe we are Enoch (rapture) and Israel is Noah and his family (taken to a place of safety while judgment being passed out to the world)?

    6. @Anonymous: yes, this was/is a valid pattern too as Enoch was raptured before the flood and Noah saved through the disaster.

  4. This is about the day of atonement. In Lev 16 which is a description of what Aaron did in atonement day if you read v4 we see Aaron put on holy clothes before entering the Holy Place. it seems to me like a prophecy or clue for 1 Cor 15:53 and 2 Cor 5:2-4, and probably a clue for the Rapture. We still have the Day of Atonement to wait for. What do you think?

  5. Brad, Jesus was born on Feast of Tabernacles because He was the New Covenant Tabernacle; He was Circumcised on the only Feast of the Lord with 8 days, on the Great Day of Tabernacles in accordance with Jewish Law. This being 6 months after the Passover birth of the Greatest of the Old Covenant John the Baptist. Abia is the 8th 8 day Temple Service; John the Baptist was conceived after Zechariah completed this service in June and was born on Passover; Jesus was conceived on Hanukkah in Elizabeth's 6th month of pregnancy and born on Tabernacles.
You missed the Rapture date and are now adjusting your Eschatology to Feast of Atonement; there is no Trumpet blowing on Feast of Atonement, no Circumcision for Jesus and no presentation in the Temple of Jesus on that date. I have all this at www.theresnothingnew.org/

    1. Thanks for sharing. Part of your comment is patently false though. I never once set a rapture date. I shared about a great sign that happens on a certain day. It just so happens that the chapter of this sign has many biblical connections to the rapture based on scripture. Timing has always been unclear for me.... and I have been more conservative than others in this regard (to personal scorn at times). Please go back and read my writings and that will be clear. God Bless You.

    3. I should add this... I do understand your concern about moving the goal line... That is legit. But the sign was real and therefor we just cannot shut down truth seeking because we are afraid it looks bad. There is some weight here regarding Atonement and it would be wrong to dismiss it out of fear of looking bad (in my opinion). We must always seek the truth... God has lead us this far and it seems that He is continuing to reveal more of this as we go. We must walk by faith trusting in Him and not be afraid of the opinions of men. He will lead us to all truth... I am confident of that. It might not be as direct of a line as we had hoped however because we are humans and we have much to learn along the way.

    4. Anon - it is also important to understand that the disciples and even OT believers sometimes only understood what was taking place, as it was taking place!. Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to the believers in Jerusalem, but it was only after the event (tongues of fire) that they were able to fully understand what it meant.

Also consider Jericho. God revealed to Joshua that the army had to march around Jericho 7 times, and on the final day - to march 7 times. It doesn't say that Joshua revealed all of this to his army at once, but each day gave him the same instructions, except to shout when he told them to shout. Each piece of the puzzle seemed to be revealed as it was taking place.

The same with the rapture - I am amazed at what God has been revealing to people about the Jubilee. Jazzy found an amazing alignment with Lev 27:24 and Jesus calling his people the 'field'. Read it - its awesome. Finally - I can fully vouch for Brad in that he has been the least to say that the rapture would take place on a certain date. He has been faithful giving people an opportunity to come and discuss articles of note. To ignore them would be foolish, and I am grateful for Brad to provide some needed shepherding during these times. Suggest you get on board and contribute (in a constructive manner) where possible.

  6. After the 23rd came and went, I am really struggling with putting another date on anything. I will try to remain watchful, but just can't live in the place where I was in the days leading up to the 23rd and especially on that day...anxious, nervous, jumping at every loud sound I heard coming from outside and thinking maybe this is it. I don't think He wants us to live like that anyway. I will try to be "quietly" watchful.

    2. So agree with your sentiment and I can tell you I made that switch after 2015. That was the devastating one for me. What I've done since that time is continue to watch as we're commanded, study, dig in the Word and look for the symbolism. Once I see a potential, I am hopeful, prayerful and watchful - but never totally certain. It has relieved that crash to the bottom, yet allowed me to stay in the moment. I highly recommend it. We will never have it all figured out this side of Heaven, but I don't believe we are supposed to stop trying. Israel was called to task for, "She did not recognize the time of her visitation." I do not want to be charged with that neglect.

    3. This is one of several reasons why I am beginning to move away from a "the rapture will fulfill the Feast of Trumpets" stance. God's Word should bring us peace. In the parables He has given us we are told to watch, be prepared, and continue about our business. To me this parallels much more closely to the situation the Israelites were in in the dessert when they would be camped and waiting to hear the trumpets being blown to know when to move again. They were living their daily lives, but were mindful and prepared to move when they heard the trumpets. And the timing of the movement was at God's discretion. I can't believe that He would want us to live on pins and needles, unable to function and be about His business.

    4. The 23rd and 24th has come and gone. I've been following Scottie since 2011 and have been looking for the rapture to be on a FoT for the past 3-4 years. Every year I feel a very slight disappointment but I CERTAINLY don't lose my stuff over it. I'm dedicated to YHWH and I understand that we are looking at these signs through human eyes. We may never know exactly what is He is planning until it actually happens. While I would rather be in heaven right now, I take joy and excitement in learning more from the Word and sharing with my youth group why we should be hopeful for Yeshua's return (that's difficult when you have a group of teenagers who only look forward to dating, marriage, kids, careers and other life goals). I love the discussion that Unsealed, Rev12daily, and other sites put out and this particular year has bought out the true side of scoffers that I choose to unfollow. I'ts just not Christ-like to make fun of people who are looking for Yeshua's return. I think it shows a real spiritual maturity if you can be hopeful for a specific day/time frame but when it passes keep studying and growing. He IS coming back soon; that we can be sure of. Thank you for all you guys do!

  7. One thing, out of many, that struck me particularly on The Watchman's Watchman video is his comment we have been so focused on Feast of Trumpets and "that feast is already spoken for". It had always niggled at my mind that Yeshua's comment to the disciples, "No Man Knows the Day or the Hour" I knew was a reference to Feast of Trumpets and He was talking about the final stage of His Return, not the Rapture. It seemed an unreconciled conflict we had left. The second he made that statement in his video, I was just YES, that's it. We needed this 8th Modeim to continue the feast schedule in its proper order and move it from Trumpets.

  8. Ok Brad let's discuss the legitimacy of Feast of Atonement. 10 days after Feast of Trumpets has nothing to do with ritual Circumcision on the 8th Day as all of your scripture references above point to. As for Feast of Return (Shabat Shuvah) That is a Rabbinical Day nowhere found in Scripture.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Anon - no-one is saying that they both point to the same date, but that they are dates that we should be considerate of. Both circumcision and the FoA have legitimate reasons to be included in our discussion for a possible return of the Lord. This forum is to allow people to share thoughts on possible biblical meanings behind some of the feasts, and shouldn't be disparaged.

    2. But if Revelation 12 sign birthed the child on the 23rd, then the 8th day of circumcision and presenting to the Lord would fall of Day of Atonement which is also the day the Feast of Trumpets is this year because of this being a Jubilee year which delays that feast and both of those feasts end with the last trump.

  9. "Behold I shew you a mystery...at the last Trump: for the Trumpet shall sound..."1 Cor 15:52.
Rev 10:7 tells us when the "mystery of God" will be completed and by whom; the 7th Angel sounding the 7th Trumpet.
There are no Trumpets blown on Feast of Atonement

    1. Sorry Anonymous. Wrong and wrong. We are not destined for wrath. The 7th trumpet cannot possibly be the trumpet written of in conjunction with the rapture. And while you are correct that there is no trumpet regularly blown on the Feast of Atonement, there is one for the Jubilee, which always is proclaimed on Tishri 10, which just happens to be the Day if Atonement. So a trumpet is blown on Atonement once every 50 years for the Jubilee. Not saying definitively that we go home this coming Sabbath, but it merits serious consideration imho and if we don't it will not be for either of the erroneous reasons you cited.

    2. God's Wrath is not the 7 Trumpet Warnings; the 5th, 6th and 7th Trumpet are the 3 Woes! God's 7 Angles with 7 Vials of Wrath are poured out on the Desolate. Once again, no Trumpets are blown on Feast of Atonement in Lev 23:27. The Trumpet is blown during the Jubilee Year on Feast of Atonement in accordance with Lev 25:9. If you are claiming 2017 is God's Jubilee, then 1967, the USS Liberty murder of 167, 6-Day War for the Golan Heights and Jerusalem must have been God's Jubilee as well. If so, why does Jesus state Jerusalem is "Spiritually, Sodom and Egypt"? Rev 11:8KJV Amos 5:2 states "The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise"
If you are to declare me wrong, how about using scripture to prove it? My name is Howard Ratcliffe My site is www.Theresnothingnew.org/

    3. Not even the rabbis know or can agree when the year of Jubilee is because it was never observed. I think too many people are reading too much into things that just shouldn't be.

    4. I agree Linda. Jesus said never call anyone Rabbi (Mat 23:8) because they were illegally sitting in Moses' Seat. Israel adopted the 6 pt Star of Saturn (Molech/Chiun/Sikkuth/El) seen in Babel "Gate of Saturn" and Babylon "Gate of On=Osiris" another name of Saturn. It is no coincidence the 1967-2017 so called "Jubilee" matches the founding of the Church of Satan; Jesus refers to Jerusalem, captured in 1967 as "Spiritually, Sodom and Egypt" Rev 11:8KJV.

    5. I always find it 'interesting', and amazing, that so many put the last trump(et) at the angels last trumpet during the tribulation and even mans wee attempts at blowing same. Why? Is it not stated that God himself blows the trumpet and not an angel? God has blown the trumpet in Biblical history but the question that I have currently is, does this trumpet blow make it the last in history or are there to come a series of them and the last of those (of how many, no one can know?) will be the Rapture?

    6. As an addendum, one might remember that Elijah is supposed to be sent here before the Day of The Lord. Anybody see him yet? Of course, no mention of how long before, whether it be a pico-second, 10 days, or ten weeks, etc. Then, there are the waves roaring and other calamities that are supposed to be happening, yet no definitive number or damage enumerated. Stuff like that happen near every year. Does Damascus have to be wiped first Re: Isaiah 17 and others? Sure, that could happen on any given day, but it hasn't yet. Questions and more questions. Do I believe the tribulation have to start on an important day? I think so, and that means pre-trib also does, but not until certain events have taken or are taking place.

I am still watching and waiting just as excitedly before. I noticed a comment someone made earlier and they said it would be another 50 years before a jubilee. 70+50=120 in Jonah's day he gave the people 120 years to get themselves straight. I know that may not be relevant for now since Israel turns 70. Just made me think some.

  11. A man had two daughters. They lived in a trailer park that, frankly, had seen better times. One day the man said, "I'm going to find us a better place to live. You girls take care of things here while I'm gone."

After some time, he returned and was greeted with joy by his younger daughter who had spent her days checking the phone for messages and sitting by the window watching for any sign of his return.

    "Where's your sister?" he asked.

"I don't know," she replied. "She hasn't been watching with me."

So the man went in the house and found his older daughter climbing out of bed, a little groggy, startled awake by the sound of his truck coming up the driveway.

"What have you been doing?" he asked.

"Well, the first thing I did was clean up the yard," she said. "I sold all those broken machines as scrap metal. Then I planted some flowers. They're really pretty; you'll be able to see them in the morning. After that I emptied out all the closets and had a yard sale. Then I dusted, vacuumed, and washed the windows. Today I did the shopping and cleaned the bathroom. Here's the money from the scrap metal and the yard sale. Can I fix you something to eat?

    1. Gotta admit I'm with Linda where she says (elsewhere), "In looking at Rosh HaShanna anew I am actually leaning more towards a different event fulfilling Rosh HaShanna, which would free the rapture to happen at any time (at God's discretion) just as the trumpets were used at the time of the tabernacle in the wilderness to indicate who was to move and where depending on the pattern of the signal (Numbers 10)."

Seems to me Jesus intended for us to be ALWAYS watching, ALWAYS working, ALWAYS ready, as we read in Numbers 9: "...when the cloud tarried long upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the Lord, and journeyed not... whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed."

    2. DJ, that was such a good illustration and reminder that we can’t be idle while we eagerly await for His return. Because we are human, it can be our tendency to be so caught up in our deep longing for His arrival that we can lose sight of the work that still needs to be done. Thank you for that. May I very lovingly and respectfully add to your illustration? In this scene you painted also exists other tenants of the park. They were enemies of the father and wanted to hurt and drag down his daughters. They would accuse the daughter of stealing those machines, make accusations of their behavior, the landlord would make fatiguing restrictions on where or how much work the daughter could do. She was becoming tired and weary and began to lose hope in her father’s return. Her sister, who was watching and straining for any messages from their father, would encourage her sister with the message the father left saying he was making progress and reminding them he would be coming soon. The sister would give her weary sibling hope when she would be given a sign that her father could be seen on the horizon. It gave her renewed strength and vigor to keep working for her father while she carried out her service to her loving dad.

Paul told us to encourage each other, to not give up doing good, especially to the brethren. While we should never be idle as we stand looking up at the sky, may I suggest that those who are straining for a glimpse of His return are also busy about the Father’s work and contributing as the Father has gifted them? Your admonishment is lovingly accepted as truth. Mine is only offered in the same spirit. I’m encouraged by yours, and I pray you are encouraged by mine. I link arms with you as we serve Him together. YSIC

9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him...

    The Escape to Egypt
13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. “Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.”

14 So he got up, took the child and his mother during the night and left for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until the death of Herod....

[All of this is reflected in Rev 12 but can't occur until AT LEAST 8 days after the birth and birth Star, because they didn't flee until after Jesus was circumcized 8 days after his birth.]

    1. Jesus was a "Young Child", when the Magi arrived (Mat 2:8;9;13 KJV) He was in Egypt. Jesus was born on Tabernacles because He was the New Covenant Tabernacle and circumcised on the 8th day because He was to fulfill the Law; He was then Crucified in accordance with the Law He wrote according to Deut 21:23 by being nailed to a tree

    2. I'm not saying that a rapture will occur ON Yom Kipper/the circumcision but that Joseph (Jose?) and Mary (Maria?) did not "escape to Egypt" with The Child (El Nino) until SOMETIME AFTER the circumcision, as signified by Yom Kipper, rather than ON Rosh Hashanah/the birth sign.

    3. We need to stay within the bounds of Scripture otherwise we can be led into grievous error. Please stop looking to the world, to entertainment, everything but Scripture to try and shore up a position that can't be nailed down with Scripture. The enemy can too easily mislead through "coincidences" in the world.

  14. I would say believers who are watching can see a lot of pieces are converging and giving us a better picture of the puzzle, we see through a mirror dimly right. A verse I do not see as part of the discussion here is Luke 21: 32. How long is a generation? Its 70 years according to the scriptures as I read them.

In order for another jubilee to come would be another 50 years and that generation from 1947 or 1948, depending on your date you believe Israel became a nation, would be long gone at 100 years. There is no time left on the clock my brothers and sisters, we are privileged to be alive at time such as this. Repent, pray the Father is counting us worthy to take part in the Blessed Hope Paul told us about.

This will be the 7th Trumpet Jubilee Blast at the 2nd Coming when Jesus takes back the Earth from Antichrist rule. We are at least the Great Tribulation 1260 days from that. 2017 is not the Lord's Jubilee.

Also, Jesus himself said in Luke that we will not know what hour to expect him, so maybe its Day of Atonement, maybe its not, either way, God will blow his trumpet when he blows it and once we are in heaven we will look back and say "ohhh, duh. When they escaped depended on Joseph's warning in a dream. Since Herod ordered the death of all children in Bethlehem under the age of 2, it isn't out of the question that the escape didn't occur for up to 2 years after the birth.

  20. So, the claim is 2017 Feast of Atonement is the Jubilee and the Trumpet will be the real Rapture. The 1967 6-Day War for Jerusalem, the city which Jesus calls "Spiritually, Sodom and Egypt" Rev 11:8KJV is God's work? How about the USS Liberty sinking? The Church of Satan was founded in 1966; they call 1967 "Year One Satan"; guess they will have a Jubilee in 2017 as well. Rabbis will celebrate Kol Nidre "All Vows" on Sept 29 forgiving Sins and Oaths of their Congregations made from Yom Kippur 2017-2018 in the "Year of Moshiach" 5778. I suppose that's God's work too? James said above all else "Swear Not"; Jesus forgives Sins already committed not ones we plan to commit in advance.
    Folks, don't believe this nonsense.

  21. Dear @all! Despite all trouble with finding the right date for rapture or not I'd like to note sth here: IMHO the book of REVELATION ("of Jesus Christ" i.e. the full title of the book) is entitled on purpose. When Paul talks about a "mystery" in 1 Corinthians 15:51 it does NOT mean that it will never or cannot be revealed before it happens as announced in verse 52. Therefore the last book in the bible is called "Revelation" and not "Mystification". Therefore, it MUST be possible to find and confirm a date for the bride of Christ to expect the LORD Jesus because the bridegroom is now what its all about and He told us that He would let us in on His return as friends too (John 14:2; John 15:15) My 2 cents...

We have always been on a need to know basis and we will know when it's time. Just as the 120 were doing in the upper room at the conception of the church, we need to be in one accord with prayer and supplication for that miraculous event not many days hence. Based on the time of Israel's reestablishment as a nation, this has all of the earmarks of being the 120th Jubile. Keep ready and keep watch. Maranatha!

There has been a lot of hype concerning a sign that will occur on September 23, 2017 and I wanted to take a moment and talk about that. First of all, people who know me and read my books recognize that I do not get involved in hype. Sadly, those who promote hype tend to get the most viewers and subscribers on the internet.

What I see happening on the internet reminds me of a verse that we read in Daniel. “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.” Daniel 12:4

Many are currently running “to and fro” frantically looking for knowledge and anyone who has revelation or information that can help them. No doubt, people are sensing that we are in the end times and they want answers. They want to be able to focus on something – they seek a sign and many preachers and teachers are feeding that desire.

    1. I just wish that people would remember the specific pastors, preachers and prophets making these predictions about dates, events, blood moons etc. and then discount them later on when they are proven wrong. Instead, many of these false teachers modify their predictions or find something new to hype and incredibly, people continue to look to them for truth.

I recall one individual who became popular with the “blood moon” teachings and originally predicted that Messiah would return on Yom Teruah 2014 or 2015. Of course, that did not happen yet no one seems to care or remember.

So first, lets talk about the sign. Some people are indicating that the sign described in Revelation 12 will occur in the sky on September 23, 2017. Revelation 12:1-2 provides the following:

“1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.”
      Revelation 12:1-2

The claim is that this sign is referring to the constellation Virgo and the constellation Leo. Virgo is the woman with the moon at her feet. Leo and certain planets are the 12 stars. The sun will also be visible in this configuration while Virgo will essentially be “giving birth” to Jupiter. Many are teaching that this sign will occur on September 23, 2017 and it is the only time that this sign has ever occurred. That is simply not true.

      Delete
    2. Of course, the constellation Leo is always above Virgo. The sun passes through Virgo for about a month every year around September/October and there will be a couple days when the moon is at Virgo’s feet during that period. This happens every year. Also, Jupiter passes through this constellation about every twelve years and Jupiter is now in Virgo. As a result of these regular cycles, the sign has occurred a number of times in the past.

In fact, what is critical to understand is that it occurred over Jerusalem when the Messiah was being born at the sighting of the new moon on Yom Teruah, September 11, 3 B.C.E. A detailed article of the event can be read by following this link and going to the bottom of the page. It is also discussed in the Walk in the Light series book entitled The Messiah. Of course, this is what Revelation 12 is actually referring to – the birth of the Messiah.

While people are claiming that the sign is about the rapture of the Church, that is clearly not the case. Revelation 12 is not talking about the Bride, it is absolutely talking about the birth of the “male child” as can be seen in verse 5: “She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to Elohim and His throne.”

It seems that a lot of the focus on September 23 comes from the fact that people are seeing references to September 23 and 9/23 in movies. They conclude that this is a message from the Illuminati concerning an impending future event. That may be true, but in that case the inclusion of the date in movies is a sign from the Illuminati, not a sign from Elohim. There was a lot of hype back in 2015 concerning September 23 and now that some people have connected it with Revelation 12, it has breathed new life into this subject.

The main problem with the September 23, 2017 sign is that no one will be able to actually see it. A sign is supposed to be something visible – something that can be seen and witnessed. That is the problem I had with the so-called “tetrad blood moons.” They were not necessarily as unique as people espoused and they were not consistently visible to much of the world. So who were they actually signs for? I wrote about that in the Walk in the Light series book entitled The Final Shofar.

That is always the first question I ask when considering a sign – “Who will actually see it?” When I heard about the September 23, 2017 sign I entered the date into my astronomy software and noticed that the sign was in the sky during the daylight, so no one can look up and see it in the heavens. Only those using simulation software can see it on their computer screens. So is it really even a sign? Not according to my understanding of a sign.

      Delete
    3. Therefore, for future reference, please do yourself a favor and take note of all the people hyping the September 23, 2017 sign. While the powers of the world may have some nefarious plans for this date, there will be no visible sign in the heavens for all to see, unless the sun darkens enough for us to see the constellations during the daytime.

Yahushua stated: “An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” Matthew 12:39 He only gave His generation one sign. He also told of one sign that would announce His return. “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” Matthew 24:30

Notice that this sign will “appear” in the heaven. The word “appear” in the Greek is "phaino" and it means: “to lighten, to appear, be seen.” So there will be a visible sign in the heavens when Yahushua returns. All the earth will see it and they will mourn because of what they see. So far, that is not the case with the September 23, 2017.

Now there was actually a recent sign that was visible in the sky known as the Great American eclipse of August 21, 2017. That sign occurred at the beginning of the 40 days of teshuvah leading up to Yom Kippur on October 1, 2017. I wrote an article about the significance of that sign entitled Good News in Bad Times that can be read, printed and distributed. I suggest that you take a look at that article because it encourages people to focus on repentance so we are ready for His return when we do see the sign of the Son of Man.

Repentance is not a glamorous and exciting message and it probably won’t get me a bunch of new subscribers, friends or likes - but that is the message I will stick with because that is the message that this generation needs.

      Yom Teruah Sameach!

  26. Luke 4:17-21 New King James Version (NKJV)
17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,
    Because He has anointed Me
    To preach the gospel to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives
And recovery of sight to the blind,
    To set at liberty those who are oppressed;
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
20 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him.
21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.”

The acceptable year of the Lord - The primary reference was to the year of Jubilee, from bible commentary.

When Jesus read from the book of Isaiah in the synagogue, He added the verse “recovery of sight to the blind”, in the context, He seems to be referring to spiritual blindness. Then He closed the book, signifying that He will come again in the year of Jubilee for the Church first. Because the recovery of sight was first proclaim to the Church who saw Him as their Savior, the unbelieving Jews did not recognize Him.

From then on, Israel had not celebrated their Jubilee, 2017 is the first time that Israel will sound the Jubilee trumpet on the day of atonement (30-Sep-2017).

Romans 8:19-23 New King James Version (NKJV)
19 For the earnest expectation of the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.
    20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope;
21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now.
23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

Adam (from the parable of the vineyard) suggested that the verse Rom 8:21 written by Paul alludes to the year of Jubilee (the captives and oppressed are liberated). If indeed so, the following verse (Rom 8:23) suggest that we would expect the redemption of our body in the year of Jubilee. 1 Corinthians 15:53-54 also alludes to this bondage of corruption being delivered after we are raptured.

1 Corinthians 15:51-54 New King James Version (NKJV)
51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed
52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

The Holy Spirit do not waste words, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, it meant the same thing (speed). So “the twinkling of an eye” is meant to be a Jewish idiom for evening twilight at sunset.

So Paul saw the day and hour that our body will be changed, at the last trumpet of Jubilee year 2017 (on the day of atonement, 30-Sep-2017)), at sunset time in Jerusalem.
    http://www.torahcalendar.com/SUNSET.asp

Jesus will not come in the next Jubilee (50 years from now), or the generation that saw Israel comes back as a nation in 1947 would have long gone, and this prophecy would not be fulfilled.
