Debunking Christ's First Coming... A Parody!
How easy would it have been to debunk the Bethlehem Star days after it appeared? What about the wise men? I am sure they were called foolish by many of the religious leaders of the day. But in the end the wise men were obviously right and following Gods leading... In time God revealed the truth to all and now we take it for granted. It seems that the Revelation 12 Sign is following the same pattern. Pastor Steve illustrates these points and more in this powerful presentation. Check it out...

that was hilarious!! point driven home very well!!
ReplyDelete;-)
Totally agree Sam, very powerful.
DeleteFound an interesting video as well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rIY237Lbfqg
ReplyDeleteI watched that yesterday and Steve nails it. Be blessed and see all in the air soon. Shalom
ReplyDeleteI wonder where these verses are in Mark. Does anyone know?
ReplyDeleteha, have to admit that my favourite line was "there is no such thing as in-vitro fertilisation of a virgin". Very clever.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly enough, this is why most of the Founding Fathers of America proclaimed a religion of Moralistic Deism: Because anything they couldn't explain in the natural, was obviously a whole buncha hooey.
DeleteSubscribers to this theory: Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Thomas Paine, Benjamin Franklin, and to a less-publicly-pronounced degree, George Washington.
While Wikipedia isn't always a definitive source, it does give a nice overview: Naturalistic Philosophy.
From this horrible idea springs "Patriotic Christianity". This whole "No kneeling at the anthem." push, makes me ask the question: "Would modern day American Christians burn Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego?"
I think the answer is "Probably." Please note that this is not a 1-1 correlation. The statement NFL players are trying to make is completely different. But it isn't without some parallels.
Please also remember that Christians in Rome were subject to the same torture, because they would not swear allegiance to the Emperor. The Emperor really could not have cared less as to the "Why?" Christians would not bow. The problem was that they would not bow.
Christians were not the only ones eaten alive at the Colosseums. Chew on that for a bit, and get back to me.

DeleteWhat point are you trying to make?
I can't go easy on "Uncle John"... Wish I could. He also wrote a version of the New Testament which stripped all supernatural elements from the Gospel message:
DeleteA quote from the wiki on the subject: Jesus did not mean to impose himself on mankind as the son of God." He called the writers of the New Testament "ignorant, unlettered men" who produced "superstitions, fanaticisms, and fabrications". He called the Apostle Paul the "first corrupter of the doctrines of Jesus". He dismissed the concept of the Trinity as "mere Abracadabra of the mountebanks calling themselves the priests of Jesus".
and again
Rejecting the resurrection of Jesus, the work ends with the words: "Now, in the place where He was crucified, there was a garden; and in the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. There laid they Jesus. And rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed." These words correspond to the ending of John 19 in the Bible.
Jefferson rejected Christ as God in flesh, and the resurrection, leaving us with "Jesus was a moral man and a good teacher."
My point (as @ClassicRockChick asks for --- I realize I probably didn't come to one :) ) is that 1.) Moral men may have good, logical points for dismissing supernatural arguments, but that does not make the rejection of the supernatural a good or wise thing. Rather, it is an argument which has a form of godliness, but denies the power.
and 2.) Branching off of that, with our Founding Fathers being what they were they passed along a lot of "moral, but not godly" philosophy which finds a lot of Christians blindly supporting the President in his crusade against these players without the realization that the same things they support can be used to suppress Christian speech regarding matters.
3.) Our citizenship is elsewhere. So while we abide by Roman's 13, there is a scriptural precedent for not pledging allegiance to a flag or anything else. (And yes, I stand to say the pledge with everyone else in America. ) But this sinister philosophy has been a problem for the Church since the beginning of America.
It is why we have so many people who "identify" as Christians: Because they're good people, who love Mom, believe in a higher power, eat apple pie, and stand to salute the flag at football games.
But many of those same people, if it came between allegiance to God, and allegiance to the State, would choose the state.
I apologize for not fully developing my thoughts :)
And I only now realize you meant "Adams" and not Jefferson. Lo siento :) Yes, he is guilty to lesser degrees. I was merely speaking in roundabout terms. Jefferson specifically gets my goat, as does Washington :)
DeleteNo problem brother....I now know by DNA that my uncle John was the first Hebrew president from the tribe of Levi. He also fiercely opposed Jefferson on his attempt to rewrite his beloved scriptures although later in life they reconciled and became the dearest of friends...even dying on the same day...July 4th. To your point, yes America has gone the way of the hated Nicolaiteans and have embraced that wicked Jezebel while falling to the ways of Balham but still others will hold on to the end and return to their first LOVE!!! Be encouraged...our Redemption draws near! Shalom & Marranatha
DeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure that mocking the mockers is what we are called to do.
ReplyDeletePsalm 2:4? This is what God does too.
DeleteEvery day I attend my college classes, as i walk to and from class, i see so many people, and i cant help but think of the horrors to come for so many. I can see through this the significance of the max gestation time that Jupiter spent within Virgo that god truly loves all his creation and he wants all to rejoice in the life after. He is giving us as much time as possible. So many people...... god save as many as you can.
ReplyDeleteEmmett O'Regan "Unveiling the Apocalypse"; John Fenn "Supernatural House Ministry"; Billy Nelson and "Mark" interviewed by Lyn Leahz on 777 all agree on God's final 4 Judgments of America: 2 Hurricanes back to back, followed by 2 giant Earthquakes on both coasts, followed by a giant Tidal Wave on the East Coast and a final judgment so terrible Jesus kept from the visits he makes with these Charlatans.
ReplyDeleteGod's Judgments: Flood, Sodom and Gomorrah and the Exodus. Man's Judgments Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Tidal Waves are all possible with Geo-engineering Weapons like Scalar Electro-magnetic weapons, X-Band Radars, X-37B. Don't blame God; blame Man playing God.
Steve preaches the Sept 23 Rapture and now changes to preaching Sept 30 Feast of Atonement is the real Rapture and nobody cares? Ever noticed he is never in front of a congregation?
ReplyDeletePatience is found 33 times in the bible, all in the NT. 7 times in Revelation. Is used along side of faith. Patience was a fatal error for Israel coming out of Egypt...desiring the promise land of milk and honey, they groaned and scoffed. Be encouraged ALL! Yeshua will not delay!!!! Shalom Friends
ReplyDeleteWell, it does absolutely no good to prey on peoples emotions and swear He is coming back on such and such a day. Then, when it doesn't happen believers feel bewildered and unbelievers feel more brazen and emboldened to criticize christians...doesn't help them get saved. Then, the same sites say..oh, wait a minute..there's a more perfect alignment the next day. Or, well...maybe it's about the atonement and not the trumpets. Give it a break will ya? He'll come when He wants. Quit hurting the body of Christ with your nonsense. Live each day for Him and stop hurting people just because of your egos.
ReplyDeleteSigned the loving Church....unknown....
DeleteHonestly, Unknown, if you or anyone else is "hurt" by the Rev12 sign or the related discussions of the imminence of the Lord's return, use sound judgment and don't expose yourself to it. There are plenty of sincere Christian website espousing teachings I do not believe which I avoid. I don't need the inevitable double mindedness and doubt that it injects on theological matters that are settled for me. It's not useful for me to go to those sites to chastise them and possibly causing others to stumble.
Delete"It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter." praise God he has declared us kings and priests.
DeleteNow onto continuing to try to reveal what God has purposefully concealed.
How can anyone be TOO LITTLE excited about the LORDs return and searching HIS WORD and biblical patterns of interpretation to prove some dates on the calendar? How can He ever reprimand us to do so? Just asking...
DeleteI do not know the ways of the Lord but I would be a fool to dismiss His signs. And while it seems like the fleshly thing to do is to be let down, hurt, and angry at our brothers or sisters for their focus on the 23rd, at the end of the day if it was their true sincere belief and a genuine attempt to try and figure out something that we are commanded to watch for, then at least they did something.
ReplyDeleteSure we all want the Lord to come back. But if we can take a couple lessons from this then let us do so.
First lesson. Patience. Yep, Dan Adams you nailed it.
Second lesson. Even in being let down and disappointed, let's make sure we act in love accordingly to one another. We all feel the pain. But we are to edify one another. And I like Gal 5:18-24. Worth the read. ... actually all of Gal 5 is worth the read.
(Side note: it says some interesting things on circumcision as a Christian).
Third lesson. The Rapture date was wrong. BUT the times are unprecedentedly RIGHT. Don't stop because we missed once. Think Thomas Edison's light bulb. How many times did he try again???
(Side note: check out breakingIsrealnews.com and look up Top 5 reason the Jewish community is looking for their messiah in 2017. Fun stuff, not too sure to be overly serious on it).
Hope this helps.
Much love brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.

ReplyDeleteBrother Keith, this is not a Post-Tribulation Rapture gathering place. As brother Ted said above, there are plenty of websites that teach and discuss that perspective. Here we await the soon Pre-Trib return of our Lord Yeshua... Jim
