Who Is The Male Child In Revelation 12? | Unsealed
When looking to identify the Male Child from Revelation 12:5 a number of factors must be accounted for. Some of these factors could potentially fit multiple characters, others not so much. In the following post Gary lays out 8 key criteria which must be met to fit the description in the text. He dives into each of these points and shares why he feels that the Body of Christ is the best fit for all eight. This article is an essential read for anyone studying this sign seriously.

Excerpt from the Unsealed Article:
Who is the male child of Revelation 12? This question becomes increasingly pertinent as we near the day on which the Revelation 12 Sign may be fulfilled. Historically the predominant assumption was that the male child of Revelation 12:5 was Christ, but this interpretation appears to have some significant faults. In retrospect it looks like the popular view regarding the male child was held for two reasons: first, because Augustinian allegorism has held sway over the Church since the 5th century and second, because significant scholarly studies on Revelation 12 have been almost entirely avoided until relatively recently. Here is the link:
When we dissect the narrative in Revelation 12 we discover that the identity of the male child must meet eight criteria in keeping with a literal hermeneutic:

My thinking is that Venus represents Jesus in the REV12 sign - Revelation 22:16 tells us He is the bright morning star. Venus is one of the 12 stars in the crown, which ties in with Joseph's dream back in Genesis 37:9 when 11 stars bowed down to one of them. This interpretation seems to be confirmed by the alignment of the great pyramid in Giza at sunrise on September 20th when the concealed moon and the sun break on the eastern horizon, Leo's king star, Regulus is in conjunction with Venus and both are precisely at the Christ angle (26.3 degrees) above the eastern horizon, perfectly in line with the ascending passageway of the Great Pyramid. Clearly if Venus represents Jesus, then Jupiter must represent something else in the great sign of Revelation 12 on September 23rd 2017. So His church, the body of Christ is an obvious candidate. What is interesting is that after the REV12 sign, Jupiter and Venus are in conjunction in the early morning eastern sky on 13th November 2017, as if to symbolise that the head (Venus - Christ) has been joined with the body (Jupiter - Church)!! Be interested to hear if others agree with my interpretation! Mark
ReplyDeleteThis is interesting, and I think it makes some sense as Christ clearly identifies himself with Venus multiple times. Perhaps we should look at when Venus and Jupiter from a conjunction.... if Jupiter is the Body, and Venus is the Head!
DeleteHere is a simple fact that will stop the whole debate regarding the identity of the baby in Revelation Chapter 12. What people don't realize is this IS a simple time mechanics problem.
ReplyDeleteThe Book of Revelation was written by John the Apostle. John was given Revelation by Christ, while on the Isle of Patmos. At the time he was given Revelation John was approximately 90 years old. Then some time there after John wrote down Revelation. So with this in mind it was Christ, yes Christ, who had ascended into Heaven BEFORE John was banished to Patmos, who gave John Revelation.....approximately 60 years after HE (Christ) had ascended into Heaven.
Being John was in his 90s when given Revelation, some 90+ years after the birth of Christ, how could Revelation Chapter 12 have ANYTHING to do with the birth of Christ, some 90 years previous?!
The whole point of Revelation is to reveal future events, not past events!
In addition, it is NOT POSSIBLE for the three wise men to have seen the sign of Revelation Chapter 12, some 5 years before Christ’s birth, BECAUSE REVELATION CHAPTER 12 HADN'T BEEN WRITTEN YET!
It is a fallacy based on ignorance to say the child of Revelation Chapter 12 is Christ, IT ISN'T, IT IS THE CHURCH! Revelation Chapter 12 could not have been written by John, before the birth of Christ because simply Christ hadn’t been born yet and very likely John the Apostle was an infant or toddler himself.
REVELATION CHAPTER 12 IS ABOUT THE CHURCH and a simple explanation of basic time mechanics prove this.
I agree. I have had this exact debate (friendly disagreement) with prophecy teachers who have been doing this type of thing for 20+ years. All they can see is Jesus. It is quite frustrating....but it almost like their eyes are blinded. I think the most logical explanation based on the whole body of evidence and cross-references supports the child representing the church..... while a superficial reading with little thought or depth of study lends itself to the child being just Christ. So, since this is a complicated passage to interpret ask yourself who shall we believe: those who dig deep, or those or whole look at the surface?
DeleteLove the chart. That is my learning style. A simple graphic that tells a powerful truth in the study of the Rev 12:1-5 passage. Watchman35
ReplyDeleteI agree Ron. The visual really clarifies things.... BTW, I finally finished listening to the last part of your radio interview! I loved it brother. I love your viewpoint and just the way you expressed your thoughts. The host was excellent too, together it was a very edifying conversation to listen to. Please keep me posted about when he has you on next. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed listening to you and I have friends who have told me the same. Thank you so much for your boldness on the corner, and humbleness in the studio. I was so encouraged by you, God Bless You Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : )
DeleteThanks for the kind and encouraging words, Brad. Much appreciated.
DeleteThe male child in Revelation 12:5 is the dominant Witness of Revelation 11:3. In both chapters of Revelation, 11 & 12, he is caught up to God and he is a person born during the years leading up to the day of Christ's return to earth. His life evidently begins with his near death at birth. He lives to exert what good and positive influence that he possesses on a worldwide scale through discreet means in order to be able to live a normal and enjoyable life, most people who personally know him not having any idea, at all, that he possesses a genuine, scripturally preordained destiny from God.
