The Psalms Prophecy Relating to 2017 and 2018

Note: The following is information was sent to me by Daniel, a beloved brother in Christ and reader of this site.  The information he has found is intriguing and well worth reviewing closely if you are led.  I have previously heard of the idea of the number of the Psalms relating to years; it is especially interesting seeing it spelled out in detail relating to 2017 and 2018. Enjoy.

Psalm 117 - 2017: The Rapture

&

Psalm 118 - 2018: The Great Tribulation

INRODUCTION — The Psalms Prophecy

There is a theory floating around, that the Psalms all relate prophetically to their corresponding year, starting with 1901. So that Psalm 1 relates to 1901, Psalm 2 to 1902, etc. I've spent much time verifying this, but it is still unclear, and would demand more study of the Bible (which is good) before to reach a conclusion. So research that as you want, J. R. Church seeming to have been the first to find this. Some clues as to get you started AND to make a point:
  • Psalm 17 -1917: Balfour declaration.
  • Psalm 46 - 1946: first year of peace : "He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth" v.9
  • Psalm 39-45 - 1939-1945: when six million Jews perished in the Holocaust at the hands of Adolf Hitler.
  • Psalm 48 - 1948: the year the nation of Israel was born
  • Psalm 91 - 1991: Desert Storm War — "Not afraid of the arrows flying by night" (Missiles) "Pestilences" (fear of chemical weapons)
  • Psalm 115 - 2015: Tens of thousands of deaths in two consecutive earthquakes in Nepal, site of the largest annual animal sacrifice — "Idols have eyes but cannot see etc"
So I'm not so sure about the afore-mentioned Psalms/years connections. But quite enthusiastic about the following Psalms/years connections:
  • Psalm 117 - 2017: The Rapture! — (see below)
  • Psalm 118 - 2018: The Great Tribulation — The Whole Story of it (see below)

GETTING WARMER — The Hallel (Passover) Psalms

More important to this article are the "Hallel" Psalms, mandatory reciting or singing at every Passover for every Jew, including Jesus and the apostles. Those are Psalms 113 to 118. From what I have read, singing at least Psalm 118 at Passover is an absolute minimum to this day.

AN EARLY POETIC CONCLUSION: Every year, all (unbelieving) Jews sing about the Great Tribulation they will have to suffer as they will become sacrifices, because they did not receive the lamb of YHWH as their Passover Sacrifice.

Psalm 117 — 2017 — THE RAPTURE

Psalm 117: 1-2
O praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people.
2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

This is the central chapter of the Bible (594 chapters before and 594 after), also the shortest. It must then speak of a MOST GLORIOUS TRUTH. Strange thing it speaks of ALL THE NATIONS, not just Israel. ALL THE CLANS even. YHWH has showered His merciful kindness on men and women of all nations, tribes, clans and languages WHO ARE CALLED IN THE RAPTURE.

THE RAPTURE IS THE PERFECT FIRST MOMENT WHEN PEOPLE OF ALL NATIONS AND PEOPLE WILL PRAISE AND LAUD YHWH WITH GREAT CRIES OF "YOU HAVE BEEN MERCIFUL, KIND AND FOREVER TRUE!; HALLEL U YAH!"

Psalm 118 — 2018 — THE GREAT TRIBULATION

I might miss the mark here and there in this rushed interpretation, but Psalm 118 tells the WHOLE STORY of The Great Tribulation, from beginning to end. It is entirely focused on Israel, fighting for dear life. Surrounded by enemies, chastened almost unto death; dwelling in tents, in a place of refuge; YHWH bringing her back to the desert to woo her again, like when she fled Egypt... Until she cries "Blessed be he that cometh in the name of YHWH".

If you have time to study, please study Psalm 118 and see what I mean, then share your findings here! Psalm 118: 1-29
O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let ISRAEL [the nation] now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
3 Let the HOUSE OF AARON [the Priests] now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
4 Let THEM NOW THAT FEAR THE LORD [the remnant] say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
5 I CALLED UPON THE LORD IN DISTRESS: the LORD answered me, and set me in a LARGE PLACE
Israel will call upon YHWH in distress, and He will lead her to Petra, the place of refuge.
6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
7 The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
10 ALL NATIONS COMPASSED ME ABOUT: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.

All the nations mentioned again in Psalm 118, not to praise the LORD, but in unbelief, out to destroy Israel.
11 They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
12 THEY COMPASSED ME ABOUT LIKE BEES: they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.

The rare mention of bees links to Deuteronomy 1: 44 —"And the Amorites, which dwelt in that mountain, came out against you, and chased you, as bees do, and destroyed you in Seir, even unto Hormah."— MOUNT SEIR IS PETRA!
13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.
14 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my SALVATION.["LyeshuaH"].
15 The voice of rejoicing and SALVATION ["VyeshuaH"] is in the TABERNACLES [tents] of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
18 THE LORD HATH CHASTENED ME SORE: BUT HE HATH NOT GIVEN ME OVER UNTO DEATH.

How can one ever give a better definition of THE GREAT TRIBULATION for Israel?: —The "Lord hath chastened me sore: But he hath not given me over to death."— only one third of Israel shall remain, but they will all come to faith in the Messiah!

19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:
20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my SALVATION.["LyeshuaH"]

Like God courted Israel initially by bringing her in the desert with Moses; the Great Tribulation will have the same result: Israel fleeing for her life, protected by the LORD will be courted again, for three and a half years, in tents, in the desert. —Hosea 2: 14—"Therefore, behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfortably unto her." 22 The STONE which the builders refused is become the head STONE of the corner. 23 This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. 24 THIS IS THE DAY WHICH THE LORD HATH MADE; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Another PARADOX: This is "the Great Day of the LORD, the Great Tribulation, but YHWH will talk to the heart of Israel, so she will be glad and rejoice, seeing all the miracles and proofs of love from YHWH.
25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
26 BLESSED BE HE THAT COMETH IN THE NAME OF THE LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

These are the exact words that will signal the END of THE GREAT TRIBULATION: —"For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord." —Matthew 23: 39.
27 God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

Conclusion

So we have here, in Psalm 118 a picture of the WHOLE STORY of the Great Tribulation, centering on Israel; while in Psalm 117 we have (people from) all peoples and nations praising YHWH for his loving kindness and eternal truthfulness, as will happen at the Rapture.
These two Psalms, I do believe are speaking of 2017 and 2018, and are correlating with the Great Sign in Heaven, of Revelation chapter 12; giving also a picture of the Rapture and the Great Tribulation.

Be all blessed of YHWH! There is surely much more: read and find it and Bless YHWH for it, then share it around you and here also. YHWH will provide more and more to them that love Him and want to be with Him!

HalleluYah!
Daniel

  1. Daniel, thank you so much! What a beautiful study!

I've been a watchman just long enough to remember when JR Church came out with his study of the prophetic Psalms. I remember thinking at the time that Psalm 117 looked VERY important. Of course, back then, I was hoping it showed a picture of the end of the Tribulation.😉

As time went by, and I became aware of the Rev12 sign in 2011, it seemed that Psalm 117 was the perfect fit with the sign and the beginning of the Trib, just as you have shown. However all the while, hoping against hope, that the blood moons meant we would be meeting The Lord in the air well before that... But here we are in 2017 and EVERYTHING is converging!

How AMAZING and AWESOME is our YHWH?!?! As the song says, we can only imagine!

    Maranatha!

And thank you to Brad for this wonderful blog!

  2. My jaw dropped when I got to 118:26. Truly prophetic. This theory makes a lot of sense. God sure does like numbers! Haha. But it makes sense, since math, like astronomy, transcends culture and language. Praise Him.

  3. I see: "salvation" quoted in Psalm 118, being written Yeshua, (Jesus) plus a "hey" and the end, and at the beginning, either a "lamed" meaning "for" or a "vaw" meaning "and"...

So that the name of Jesus is quoted 3 times in psalm 118: L-yeshua-h, V-yeshua-h, and again L-yeshua-h. Glory to Yeshua!

  5. I have always loved these kinds of teachings of JR Church. Verse 22-23 has always stood out to me:

22 The stone which the builders rejected
    Has become the chief cornerstone.
    23 This was the Lord’s doing;
It is marvelous in our eyes.

One things JR Church always stressed is that these chapter correlations are all in the perspective of the Jews going through the tribulation. So if that is true, we see that the Jews finally realize that the "stone" rejected is indeed their Messiah and they have made Him their cornerstone. They do not decide this all on their won. "It is the Lord's doing." So what did the Lord do that made such an impact on them? The Rapture! I do believe that is the moment that God takes away their blindness.

    1. Regarding "Marvelous in our eyes".... How great will that be when millions of Jews all nearly simultaneously realize that Jesus Christ is their Messiah!!? What an awesome movement that will be contrasted by the darkness of the anti-Christ. I for one think it will be the preaching of the 2-witnesses leading up to the abomination of desolation that makes them realize who the cornerstone is. Either way, how amazing will it be when they do!! Thanks for sharing!

  6. I dropped back and read Psalms 115 and 116. I think what I see in 115 is the time leading up to the Rapture. In 115, there is a separation of believers from the non believers, especially 4-8 and 17-18. In 116, I see the time the Holy Spirit got my full attention as to where we really are in His plan. I became aware of the Revelation12 Sign in September of 2016, and have been spreading the word ever since. In 118, I see Israel turning to Christ. In verse 14, "the Lord has become my salvation". Verse 5 could be Petra. It is in the mountains and covers a large enough area. Verse 9 is interesting. "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes." It's a short walk to figure out who that might allude to.

  7. I remember having heard from this exegesis in some Steve Cioccolanti video, perhaps he used the same source. Very interesting, thank you! The numbers 17 / 18 / 19 are so called prime twins around the central 18 (mathematically). There is a German physicist (non-christian) Peter Plichta who wrote an interesting book about number 19 with the title "Gods secret formula". You can find it in Psalm 19 and 119 as THE very central number of creation.

Here's another link to biblical interpretation of biblical numbers from 1- 40 (Stephen E. Jones) http://gods-kingdom-ministries.net/teachings/books/the-biblical-meaning-of-numbers/chapter-3-numbers-11-20/ another important teacher on numbers seems to be E. W. Bullinger but I couldn't find sth on the web about these numbers 17-19. If we had still more time, we should study the numbers, it is so deep... But I am looking forward to asking Jesus no more question soon (John 16,23 a)! HALLELUJAH Blessings to you all!

  8. [url]https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Esdras+2&version=CEB[/url] This book isn't in the cannon but does predict the Revelation 12 sign of the woman and explains why the Most High God didn't pull the plug 100+ years ago. Think about it unless you are 101 years old then you can skip it.

    2. You should also look at Psalm 18 for it too provides a description of the day of rapture, of smoke and fire and God coming and lifting us up and out of the deep. Very very powerful!
