And I looked, and behold, a white horse! And its rider had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer. Rev 6:2 I know we all have a lot of notions regarding the seals in the Book of Revelation. We have been thought so many things for so long, that we have an immediate aversion to new ideas. It was that exact mental trap that caught so many people with the Rev 12 Sign. They did not want to look at the constellations. They thought anything written in Chapter 12 must happen in the middle of the tribulation. But we have learned a lot the last few years, and striving to have an open mind to ideas of how Revelation COULD be fulfilled should be one of those things we have learned. I am reminded of something the late Daniel Matson once said to me... We were talking about prophecy, and balancing that with everyday family life. And he said something really profund and I loved it because it was so humble... He said something along the lines of t...
No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The question before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of di...
All, I will keep this short. Pastor Brandon from Rock Harbor Church in Bakersfield CA has a very informative video out where he takes questions from the congregations on current news items. You can imagine the primary focus on of the conversation as it seems like throughout the country the walls are closing in all the more regarding the j_b. Please watch this Q/A on the topic that is very informative from a Biblical perspective.... If you are feeling alone or trapped, I pray this pastor and his wisdom and resolve will encourage you.
Hey dear family, I am sharing the latest post from TW Tramm... He is one of my favorites and always puts so much thought into whatever he shares. His posts are always impeccably referenced as well which is quite rare these days. Thanks also to Jeova' for posting it on the previous thread. It is long enough on its own so I will leave my thoughts to a minimum, but please read and be encouraged that we are drawing oh so near to our trip home! Abba Up. ----------------------- THE BIBLICAL STANDARD for determining the truth of a matter is the testimony of two or three witnesses (2 Cor. 13:1). In this study, we will consider a convergence of five eschatological timelines that suggests 2021–28 could be a pivotal period in Bible prophecy: 1. FIG-TREE TIMELINE Speaking of the time of His return, Jesus says the generation who sees the fig tree put forth leaves will see all the end-times events come to pass: “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its...
My youngest child was carrying around one of those pocket bibles last week. She will go through phases were she likes to carry around certain things, in fact if she had her way she would always have something with her wherever she goes. If we are leaving the house she will quickly look around and grab something, anything, to carry with her. Anyways, these things often get left in random spots, and wouldn't you know it that the little red pocket bible was left in my truck. This Bible is from the mid-80s, it was given to me when I was little. It has the New Testament along with Psalms and Proverbs. It's actually in very good shape as I unfortunately did not read it very much growing up. I surely could have saved myself some pain if I had. But now I love the Bible, and it fits perfectly on my dash so when I have a minute I can flip through it and read a verse or two. This is what I was doing when the following verse from Proverbs 15 jumped out at me: Hell and destructi...
