Personal Thoughts on Watching This Sign

I originally sent the note below to Daniel Matson back in March (long before this site started) as we discussed the implications of all that has been discovered regarding this sign.  Daniel then asked me if he could post this on his Facebook page.  These thoughts seemed to open up much discussion so I thought it would be worthwhile sharing here.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments section if you feel led...

So regarding all that we have learned leading up to this, at times I feel so torn because on one hand there is so much biblical and astronomical evidence pointing to this coming time as being hugely significant. Seemingly never ending amounts of evidence and biblical insights that potentially point to world changing events, possibly even the Rapture and start of the Tribulation. So all that I’ve learned is impossible to ignore, The Spirit will not let me ignore it….and the implications are so profound that to ignore it would be not only cowardly but even disobedient to all I have learned and believe I have been guided to uncover. And the hope is so powerful, almost tangible even, and in a way so grounded biblically that it feels almost like the part of the glorification process is almost happening inside of me as I ponder these things.
With all that said, on the other hand, this is prophecy and we have had it pounded into our heads to be cautious, to let it all play out. To be careful because what if nothing happens. Don’t get your hopes up, don’t be dogmatic… its best to just wait and find out once we get there type of attitude. While I believe there is much wisdom in this line of thinking when appropriately employed, I wonder how much of this comes from a place of fear in all of us. Fear of being wrong. Fear of damaging your witness for Christ, or worse yet causing others to fall away if it doesn’t play out as expected. Fear of getting your hopes up and being let down… or worse yet, fear of getting others hopes up and having them be let down or fall away.
So I have been walking this balance, between genuine excitement and guarded words, taking all the signs at face value and holding back due to dread of being wrong or causing others to stumble and lose faith.
But here is the thing... It just seems to me that the more we find, and the closer we get despite the tighter the scrutiny the more brightly all this seems to shine. So I am hoping we can come to a place in which those of us in The Body can approach this with a blessed hopefulness, fully open to the possibilities in their glorious implications, while sharing the sign with appropriate balance, never losing focus on Christ and all that He has done and is doing in, around and through us. I would love to see the fear eliminated… in all its subtle forms, because perfect love casts out all fear…. Even fear of being wrong…wrong about The Word. We know The Word is true, and we can see with our own eyes what sure seems to be this convergence happening. So many things seem to be coming together with a very high likelihood of fulfillment, so we must not fear, but be wise and continue to share Christ and not waste all that He has shown us as we seem to approach the last of these last days.
Lastly, I must say it is easier to find that balance when discussing it with others….but I have found that wrestling with those fears and hopes inside my own heart is so much harder. Thankfully we have clear words telling us to be watchful and be hopeful… and the encouragement that even in our weakness we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.
Even so, come Lord Jesus, come!
PS. I am so blown away by the Wise men as I ponder them more and more.….they went so far out on a limb based on what they read, and what they saw. Imagine the struggles, the inner doubts they must have faced, and the faith and perseverance they had, all to simply bring glory to a king… The King… OUR KING! I am just wondering, how many of us would have made that journey today?

    3. You're welcome! It's good to hear that so many can relate. I am working on a post about those who tell us "Don't get your hopes up". I have a feeling others can relate to that one too! Thanks for reading!

  2. Dear brethren in Christ, have you ever noticed what Jesus was telling the disciples in John 14,2: IF IT WERE NOT SO I WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU? I thank Him for all of you discovering and examining the sign and am fairly convinced we're going home in a few weeks from now. Because if it were NOT so, Jesus would have told us now long ago... Maranatha!!

    1. Annabel...... I have never thought about it like that, and John 14 has been one of my favorite chapters in the whole Bible since first was saved! I agree. I just want the truth...and Jesus is The Truth (John 14:6) and nobody has to come close to showing me any biblical or scientific reason why this alignment isn't a fulfillment of Rev 12:1-2. Therefore I am compelled by what I have seen and learned, along with my love of the Lord and desire to see Him to believe that this is truly a sign from Him. We will find out what it means soon, but I am like you... I HOPE we are going home to be with Him where He is. Thank you for your beautiful comment!

      John 14:1-6
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

    2. Dear brother in Christ, I am very happy that my 2 cents on that could cheer you up! This verse came to my mind when I was reading and hearing some brethren (from Scottie Clarke or Steve Sewell up to the guys of unsealed) pray that they would love to hear a word from the LORD if they are WRONG about Rev12-sign so far but they wouldn't get a message yet and every debunker was proven wrong so far. I thought then "well, this is the answer Jesus already gave us"! LOL - - apparently, even in direct connection to the Fathers house... (but it is an answer applicable to many other situations of prayer, see as well Baalams story: if the LORD anwered once and you heard it right, he will not repeat it; only if you would not understand it right or ask Him, then He would explain or repeat)

I am already preparing to leave, do the best to clear the house and settle things. It's like Steve Sewell said in one of his recent videos, it's like to know the day of your death except the fact that we WON'T die but live eternally! Together with my husband we both are looking forward to September and have postponed every action not currently necessary upon after the 23rd. ;-) (this is more a concession to him as my belief is rather strong about this now the more evidence we get as well as Nibiru approaches etc.) Have an awesome probably last Pentecost on earth! Much love, Annabel

Colossians 3:2-4

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Philippians 3:20-21

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
