We Wait. We anticipate.

I had to pull a comment from the last post and give it some exposure as it is SO ENCOURAGING. While watching for The Lords return surely takes patient endurance (Rev 3:10, Col 1:11-12) which is made clear by scripture... endurance and patience is much easier to sustain when done in a group of like minded believers. Perhaps that's why the writer of Hebrews encourages us to continue to meet together (Heb 10:25). It is by meeting together, or more appropriately, commenting together, the Holy Spirit has a chance to multiple His blessing exponentially to people all across the earth. Thank you guys for being so faithful in contriubuting and reading the comments on this site... we are a family and it as because of you and HIM! With that said, here is the comment from Just Learning... read and be encouraged!

We wait. We anticipate. And then we wait some more. Most of the time, I'm on the edge of my seat. All past 'high watch' dates have come and gone...and I don't mean they don't have significant meanings, even if we don't realize it at the time...but it's never 'The Event' we long to see. At least so far! So, we put our noses back into the scriptures, sharing our thoughts, discoveries and dreams with each other. Then we wait more. Over and over. Sometimes growing tired. Very tired and weary.

But, Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." That is a great promise, isn't it? Just the words "for in due season" is enough to help me take a deep breath and relax between contractions. We all know that we are in that "due season".

My point is this: Once we are "caught up", everything will be different...much different! Our weariness will vanish and we'll have all the strength we can imagine. It will be via His strength. The body will be gloriously reconnected to the head. It is still a cloudy thought for me to even think of. It's like looking through a glass , darkly. I seem to do that a lot, but it's getting a little clearer every day!

Once we are with Him, will we then still be anticipating the next event? (I know that 'event' is not a good descriptive word, but I can't think of another.) The Marriage Supper of the Lamb? What an event that will be!! (I sometimes joke about just being able to help set up some of the millions of folding tables and chairs for that great feast, and still having the energy to clean up afterwards. Ha!) How about anticipating the 2nd Coming? Have you picked out a name for your horse, yet? Are you looking forward to riding? (or rather flying?). Then, the Millennial Reign will really be something to experience! I know it is sure to happen, but right now, it still seems like a dream.

When in His presence after the Rapture, I think we will know what's next... and will be anticipating it. But, will we experience the same highs and lows, anxiousness, weariness, etc. that we sometimes feel currently? Of course not! We will be thrilled (another inadequate choice of words), but not at all anxious. We'll be able to enjoy every moment! Surely it won't feel like it's taking forever, as I sometimes think while 'waiting' for Him to come and get us. (Actually, 'forever' will be reality for us!) Neither will it feel like time is flying by too quickly. It will be perfect! Right now, looking back at my life, I'd describe it as the "days felt long, but the years certainly felt too short." They flew by. That description is about to change!

The emotional ups and downs; the anxiety and disappointments; the shouting with joy and then the tears that sometimes follow; the wondering if we are right are wrong; our attempt to correctly balance our time and thoughts between anticipation of His return vs. 'occupying'; ....these will ALL DISAPPEAR in the TWINKLING OF AN EYE.

I am ready for that. And you?

So in closing with the idea of endurance, I share with you the story of Cliff Young. Many of you may have probably heard about Cliff, but if you haven't prepare yourself for a treat.  This mans story is a great example for us in our current ultra marathon we are running. This man had been preparing for a great moment all his life and didn't even realize it as he gathered his sheep.  And despite being mocked by some early on, in the end he showed them what patient endurance looks like.  There are many parallels here to our watch that I am sure you will see when you dive into this wonderful story... for example....."let us not sleep, as others do"

Here is one short video... search his name on YT and you will find many more.

    1. Gerry, you concerns for the Body are commendable. I encourage you to more highly value balance, than serenity. I am confidant that Paul would agree (2 Cor 11:30), or perhaps would correct me to say that the later follows the former (Phil 4:11-13). Perhaps a most poignant example is Our Lord, Himself, Knowing full well the outcome of the moment, and yet, Jn 11:35. Oh my, dare I even mention PSALMS, Oh! Maranatha!

  4. The Westfield Sydney to Melbourne Ultramarathon was an annual ultramarathon foot race held between 1983 and 1991. It was sponsored by the Westfield Group, with the start being at Westfield Parramatta shopping centre and the finish at Westfield Doncaster shopping centre (formerly known as "Doncaster Shoppingtown").

The 875-kilometre (544 mi), five-day event was regarded as one of the toughest in the world. It was particularly notable for having been won in 1983 by Cliff Young, an almost unknown 61-year-old potato farmer from Beech Forest, Victoria. The record is held by Yiannis Kouros: 5d 02h 27m

  6. Wonderful, Just Learning! When I read, "Have you picked out a name for your horse, yet? ," I had to smile to myself. Since I was 10 years old, I have had a word stuck in my head that I think is the prettiest word I've ever heard. I had the opportunity to name a couple of horses as a kid, but I wouldn't use that word because I was saving it for my heavenly white horse. Forgive me for not sharing it. I'm now 67 years old and still patiently waiting to use the word, but yes I have chosen the name of my horse. As each day passes, I get just that much closer to meeting my noble steed.

We are about to see a similar "Radiation Transformation" when we go home. When you multiply that intensity of transformational radiation by millions, I sense this earth may be thrown back into the dark ages and the weapons and survival gear man has amassed may be pretty worthless. Fascinating - fascinating to consider what our God knows and we have no clue about! Blessings - Sherry

    2. Can somebody tell me how John 20:7 fits into the story of the shroud of Turin and how the radiants could go through the head napkin the same as on the main cloth? Was that being examined as well and where could the napkin be? Just asking curiously...

      Delete
    3. I love that question, Annabel!
How about it was on his face so it was a part of the radiation of the body cloth.
I read that Jesus (or an angel?) rolled it up or folded it to show that the body wasn't stolen.

      Delete
    4. Annabel, my thoughts on this is that your question assumes an issue of the face-cloth obscuring the energy which put the image on the shroud, or the lack of any difference in the facial area image reflecting another cloth was present. The issue with this question is that we have no knowledge indicating this dynamic should be witnessed. The question seems to be operating from a paradigm built, understandably and reasonably, loosely upon light leaving images on paper: we intuit the loss of power resulting in lower image resolution on the 2nd cloth, or, the interference of the Face-cloth appearing on the other.

However, very likely, it wasn't undifferentiated 'white' light which deposited the image but a more robust and powerful 'radiation', likely also interdimensional. As such, it seems actually MORE likely that the 1st cloth would have NO IMPACT WHATSOEVER on the 2nd as the 'light' involved, tied to transcendence, penetrates the 1st PHYSICAL cloth effortlessly, being OUTSIDE of the details of time and space. Thus, passing 'through' the 1st cloth, the energy encountered has NO IMPACT AT ALL on the image on the 2nd. 'through' is quotated as this specific energy likely did NOT travel 'through' space-time like regular light does but likely resembled more the travel as if through a wormhole, never actually traversing the space involved. I suggest a more pointed question might be, "Where's the Face-Cloth?" as it likely bears the same, confirming image, Maranatha!

    5. Well, guys, if it is on the shroud ... Wasn't it one piece? Wouldn't that mean that he was wrapped in one piece of cloth? Is that correct? If so, why a face cloth? Someone probably came in the tomb and stole it ... Mary and the other woman left ... The two disciples came a d they left. I can't imagine they took it ... They were too in shock ... They probably stumbled on back to where they were staying. In that they ran there to see ...

    6. Apparently in ancient Jewish Burial Ritual the Face Cloth is a "separate" piece of cloth than the Shroud itself. I think Jimboni has outlined it as I have always imagined when studying it. The Face Cloth was used initially upon the death of an individual, with the Shroud then covering the entire body, including the Face Cloth. There is speculation about the 3 blood stains on the cloth - how they would have been transferred there and when. There are records of the Face Cloth, the Sudarium of Ovieda, currently and for a very long time now in Spain. Can its provenance be substantiated as readily as the Shroud? I have assumed from the accounts I've read it cannot and thus it has not received nearly the attention the Shroud has. There are many details at the link here -https://www.shroud.com/guscin.htm , but certainly the Face Cloth has not had the extensive study the Shroud has. Be Blessed All my Intrepid fellow sleuths! Blessings - Sherry

    7. I have always been convinced that the shroud was genuine, ever since we were shown a documentary at school about it. More and more is being discovered as technology improves. The face cloth fits so perfectly with the shroud. I believe it was wrapped around Jesus' head while he was on the cross, and removed when he reached the tomb, to be replaced by the shroud. This explains why the cloth has blood but no image.

    8. Thanks for the link, Sherry. My understanding is there wasn't any radiation on this face cloth but the stains on it matched the Shroud of Turin.
The face cloth is placed on the face when still on the cross (is the cross laying on the ground?) and, is the body still on the cross? Is that what they are saying? I never thought about the mechanics of any of this. I always thought it was placed over the face as part of the burial preparations.
It was interesting that they state it was just placed over the face to well, catch the blood, but not to wipe the face to clean it. It would need to be the case in order to match the stains on the cloth with those stains on the shroud. It was a bit gruesome to read. History shows of putting a face cloth over a disfigured face - which Jesus' face certaintly had been.
This information was a heightened awareness and acknowledgement, for me, of the suffering that Jesus, who was sin free and innocent, the Son of Man, the Son of God in surrendering His glory, and giving himself in order to pay the price for our sin, doing the Father's will and offering us the free gift of salvation and eternal life. Saying, It Is Finished before giving up His Spirit. Yes, He laid down His life for us. Thank you, Jesus.

    9. Growing up Catholic the story about Veronica wiping the face of Our Lord was prevalent I consider the Shroud of Turin to be related to the story. Never thought about investigating the Shroud of Turin. Nevertheless isharing this question, Annabel only brings me to remembering how the Lord Jesus died for my sins and set me free . And , yes, I struggle. At times with challenges in life but I know that I am redeemed and that my name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life because His face was covered when he died the shame he bore and now I have no more shame. Thank you Lord or shedding your blood on the cross for a sinner like me

    10. Hi VeeBee. I just wanted to say that it is okay to struggle. We see made of flesh and blood. We are supposed to uphold and lift one another up, to love others. And, Jesus is our intercessor and He sits on the right hand of God and He intercedes for us. Today I read about this and just as Jesus prayed for Simon (Peter) that he would still have faith because Satan wanted to sift him, Jesus prays for us. And, I pray for you VeeBee.

    11. All, isn't it Wonderful when Our Lord Sets us about delving into, and uncovering HIM!? One point, above, Cathi G., caught my 'eye', "My understanding is there wasn't any radiation on this face cloth but the stains on it matched the Shroud of Turin." PERFECT!

Again, let's reexamine our model. I posit that an unstated assumption undergirding our model is that the Shroud was created as a natural result of a transcendent event. Clearly that idea is sufficiently intuitive and logical to 'go without saying'. Again, obviously, it lies at the heart of Annabel's Question. Seems now, I beg to differ.

NOTHING concerning ABBA is happenstantial. EVERY SINGLE DETAIL of Our Lord's Passion was IN HIS HANDS. I say it that more to make it clearer and more defensible as absolute fact. (I could, as the Hebrew language does by omitting 'consequence', say, Nothing is happenstantial.) I want to be direct, also, as His Witness here, perhaps. IF The Shroud of Turin is the supernaturally imprinted image of Our Lord's Resurrection, and at this point that is a more reasonable finding, then it is likely one of the most esteemed Relics in the Eyes of Our Lord, the Father and Spirit, and placed there no less intentionally than any other Word His Hand Delivered to Us, due to its TESTIMONY OF HIM, especially NOW, amen.

My point is not to deify a thing, rather, to highlight that it is MOST reasonable, in this frame of understanding, that ONLY the Shroud has the image. The Face Cloth was part of His Dying. The Shroud Was His "Entrance Into", Maranatha. That the Blood of the first was also on the second SPEAKS TO THE BLOOD not the mechanics of the moment. That the Image was ONLY on the 2nd and not the 1st, SPEAKS TO THE INTENTIONS OF ITS AUTHOR, and the Ultimate Separation which we we all are WATCHING FOR OURSELVES, AMEN and AMEN. MARANATHA!

    15. And, how about the blood on the shroud being reddish and not black? (For those of you who don't know, or read about it, like me ...).
"So why was the blood “too red”? Blood contains a colorful product in it called bilirubin. In all red blood cells, bilirubin is what makes blood red. If you beat somebody up and torture him like crazy, you are breaking the red blood cells that are in his circulation, essentially you’re just smashing them. This will leak out bilirubin into his intact circulation. When that bilirubin goes up in the blood, the other red blood cells that have not been broken down, absorb the bilirubin. So the content of the remaining blood cells that have not been broken goes higher and higher with bilirubin. So when it finally bleeds out, it is way redder. They didn’t know this for 3 months. That’s how long it took for them to figure out why the blood wasn’t black. It’s filled with bilirubin."

Ok notice what happens to shoulder line symetry and where your pectral muscles sit.

Unless Jesus had his shoulder ripped out of his socket even then Im not sure how you get this impression?

Its unimportant anyway if its real or fake.

    18. @Jonathan M, I am sorry for being snarky. I am rewording.

@Jonathan M. Inadvertently, you just made the case (for it being real) stronger, imho....

Supposedly, Jesus was dead on the cross for a couple hours, rigor mortis had set in. The people who took Him down and buried Him would have pulled His shoulders out of joint, if they weren't already, in order to put His arms/hands into the new position.

Also, have you read the number of experts and brilliant minds including Jews who have tried aggressively to disprove this?

We have the Bible and we have faith so we do not need the Shroud. True. Blessed is the one who believes and has not seen ... makes me wonder if this was a subtle hint about the shroud.

Lastly, I have often wondered if the existence of the blood would be used nefariously at some point. His DNA is in this if it's real....

      Delete
    19. Oh wow, I didn't realize I was causing such a huge discussion with my question... TBH I haven't yet taken the time to dig into that so deep, I just wanted to make sure if anything matches up with scripture as there HAVE TO be two different cloths then, if ever. Like Miguel also said, this is not of so much troubling importance to me. I don't need such physical proof to know that my redeemer lives... Otherwise, we easily get caught up into idolizing the shroud like the Israelites did with the brazen serpent (I learned from Steven Pidgeon lately this was in fact a misunderstanding from Moses and if you go into the Hebrew for 'fiery serpent' and 'brass serpent' you will find it! Numeri 21:8-9) Blessings around... MARANATHA!

    20. Such good "thoughts". i noted Cathi's insertion that the face cloth was removed at the tomb when he was prepped for burial and laid to the side. This is a good reason the "image" is not on the cloth. The theories over the years the shroud was faked have fallen by the wayside, for the most part, with all the investigation that has been done. Specifically the billirubin could not have been known at the time so they would have "faked it incorrectly". Jonathan, the rigor is the exact reason for the positioning on the cloth as the shoulder was separated or "torn apart" when he was nailed to the cross. I can't recall which study postulated it, but it was done in order to bring his arms fully wide open when his hands were nailed. That was essential in a crucifixion because the typical death came from asphyxiation when they could no longer stand the pain in their feet to hold them up and their body weight pulled down on their chest cavity and prevented air movement.

Miguel, for years I'd considered the DNA angle a real issue and assumed the DNA obtained would be used as part of the anti-christ charade. That still may be the case, but I did note in the article on the Sudarium they noted specifically they were able to type the blood as AB, but it was too degenerated to be able to obtain DNA. I found that startling for I was certain I'd read previously about some of the characteristics of the DNA. Perhaps the implication was the DNA on the Sudarium was degenerated, but not referencing the shroud. If I find it, I'll post and let you know.

If this study Jeramiah so lovingly pointed to does not break our hearts anew at the realization of what our Savior did for us, we might need to spend some additional time on our knees. I never cease to be amazed at what Father, Son and Holy Spirit have done to save a wretch like me. Blessings and Much Love to His Body - Sherry

    21. Thank you Miguel for referencing J's comments ... Anyhow, I was interested in the things I was learning about His death and His burial and His Resurrection (irregardless of the shroud's identity) as you talked of and Annabel agreed on.
What led me to go a bit further was the gospel as defined in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, specifically vs 4 on his 'burial'. The word jumped out for me. It is beneficial to learn about His death, and His burial and His resurrection - in learning what takes place in a crucifixion, etc. There are things that the Bible tells us, such as the blood and water coming out of Jesus' side when a soldier thrust that spear into his side that we can learn about - asking oneself, what does this mean.
This body that Jesus had was created for Him by God and Jesus was God. He was pure, sinless, and He came to earth to die. He took on his body the penalty of our sin. He set aside His divinity, His power. He gave us His life so that we might live. He gave up His Spirit. No one took it from him, as He cried out in a loud voice on that cross ... Showing us it was His choice ... It wasn't possible to speak in a loud voice as He did then as his lungs filled up with fluid and breathing was practically impossible nevermind saying something if even possible. We died, were buried and were resurrected with Him! We can boldly enter the heavenlies and approach the throne of God! So, it is important. In and of itself. We can learn things from this shroud of Turin. He suffered, not just with the interactions of self-righteous Pharisees seeking to catch him in a lie, who cast Him aside as of no importance as a bastard because of the rumors and the whispers of his birth ... Who tried to kill him. His own earthly family thinking Jesus had lost his mind ... Those who laughed, mocked him. Did not believe in him. Even Jesus asked how long must I put up with man, Matthew 17:17. The crowds yelling "crucify him, crucify him"!! Being spit on, slapped in the face (that isn't fun and it is demeaning), his hair was pulled out of his head, these thorns on his head were pushed into his head (it wasn't a nice weaved piece of art placed on his head). These Roman guards were mean and brutal. There were 18 points of entry of blood (as shown on the shroud on his head). His cheek was swelled up, he had a broken nose. His face was unrecognizeable, Isaiah 52:14. This is why the face cloth (like a hood and put over his head and tied around his head) was put over his head at the crucifixion site to hide the horridness of his managled face.
We make it look so simple with a clean Jesus on the cross. He was naked on that cross. He was mocked while on that cross. He died a criminal's death. But, he was buried as a rich man and his tomb was well known, because this tomb belonged to a well-known, rich and influential man. So, Jesus wasn't buried amongst the criminals in some unknown place. The tomb had the Roman seal ... It was authenticized! And, it was empty! The linen cloths were separate from that face cloth which was folded up ...

    22. Jonathan,
I was really intrigued by your comment...."Unless Jesus had his shoulder ripped out of his socket even then Im not sure how you get this impression?"

The shoulders being disjointed would not surprise me one bit. We know from John 19:36 that all his bones were intact... but it doesn't take much for your shoulder to become disjointed. Hanging on the cross from that position would easily do it, especially once he died and slumped down. Then, once taken down, I am sure he was handled with utmost care, so any disjointed bones would remain out of place as it would take some force to put it back into position. Thanks as always for your comments... you are right, this is not a hugely important topic, but any bit of understanding we can gain into the greatest sacrifice the world will ever know is surely worthy of discussion while we wait! Blessings Brother!

Daniel 9 prophecy says that from that decree to rebuild Jerusalem and the wall until the messiah shall be 62 7s plus 7 7s=483 years . 1535 AD+ 483= 2018 . Daniel 9:27 and he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week . This means that the 483rd year is THE year that the covenant is confimed because rhe last 7 years starts at 483>490 . Meanwhile this could very well be a pretib rature verse because the messiah only comes in the beginning of the tribulation in the clouds and at the end of tribulation. So does this mean that Jesus returns for his bride 2018 ? Very possible ..Also the word confirm in the greek does not mean to sign it means to strengthen, make stronger, so the deal is signed and the antichrist sweetens the deal maybe a 3rd temple and Palestinian state in Jerusalem? Idk whats yalls thoughts ?

    1. Hi Gods Warrior. It is mind-bending to realize and think so - this year! It seems incomprehensible!
Maybe the rapture takes place before the confirming of the covenant and the chaos resulting causes the antichrist to be revealed and confirm it which will include the building of the third temple (as I read somewhere).
Amir sees the Ezekiel war happening next ... But, won't the surrounding Arab countries be decimated then? Who will protest the bldg of the temple? Other Arab populations, dominantly Arab countries? I suppose so. Maybe we are still here ... A gap between this war and the confirming of this covenant. I just read something on "many" meaning believers or Israel. So, Israel makes the most sense because it is all about Israel.
But, we "look up" as we see the day approaching ... for Jesus. 'No Way' for the a/c.

    2. Cathi, if I'm remembering correctly I think I read Stephanie at red moon rapture believes the Ezekiel war and the rapture will happen sort of simultaneously . that is a very real possibility and at this point I know none of us know exactly how this will all play out but it is definitely becoming more clear the closer we get. So, maybe we will see part of Ezekiel's war but ???? And that war by some accounts will be a very short war due to G-D intervening supernaturally.

    3. Cathi, regarding your question about the covenant with "the many" in Daniel 9:27. Dr. Fruchtenbaum agrees with your assertion the discussion is really all about Israel. The point he sees is Yahweh is designating "Many", but not all (the Remnant) are in agreement with the Covenant with Death and Hell. He sees that passage as the dividing point of who will follow the Words of God and His prophetic utterances and who will align themselves with the enemy. He sees that passage as a clear diving point at the time of Jacob's Trouble. Blessings Sherry

    4. Yes, thanks Sherry as to the "many" meaning Israel itself - but not the remnant (who flee Jerusalem at the abomination of desolation during the mid-point of the tribulation).

  22. I woke up today and a the last thing I saw in my dream was: myself opening an envelope with a card in it.

The card said in big letters: "IT IS TIME!"

I didn't dream of anything before that.

    1. Thanks for sharing. Hopefully it means the rapture, but just in case, pay attention to your situation and surroundings and let us know if you get further clarification.

No pressure to respond, but if you are willing,

Did the card look like any specific holiday, anniversary or birthday? That would help understand the when exactly.

Are you or should you be expecting anything other than the rapture currently? If so, maybe its time for that, first. Just trying to consider and take the dream at face value. I hope that is ok.

    2. Was a white card with gold boarder and letters. The envelope itself had nothing special on it but my name (Julian) in black.

The only thing I've been looking forward is the Rapture honestly. I've seriously lost interest in my day to day life.

    3. Full Course, don't lose interest! Hang in there in a positive way ... The Word tells us to occupy ... This may mean different things to different people ... Yet, I think we move forward ... we press on ... Maybe it is praying for someone you see here and there, a family member, a co-worker ... the persecuted believers who have newly believed and their government, their family are pressuring them to renounce their faith, they are beaten, driven out of their homes ... Fellow believers on this site to remain strong in the faith, to stand up, be steadfast in their faith. Maybe it is a need that you see and can fill it. Or, to tell someone about Jesus and the free gift of salvation, if you can ... Ask God to help you with your feelings and so on. There is work to do - and you have something to give that no one else can do as you can in the circumstances you are in .... I believe this even if I fail miserably ... Get in the Word of God - read it, ask the Holy Spirit to help you. Read it every day. It is active and alive ... this is how we grow in grace. It isn't us trying ... Don't lay down and give up! Rise! It's hard ... but, remember Jesus is sitting on the right hand of God and He is making intercession for us ... that includes you.

I reply, You really need to read and pray about this short article:

Then, if you want to regain your perspective and balance, consider this one:

  23. Seriously belated funny coincidence: Very soon after this article about the potato farmer came to our attention, Kim forewent a meeting with Pompeo in order to visit a potato farm. What are the chances! So, what is it about potatoes.

Both potatoes and farmers are grossly undervalued. They are humble and do their best work unobserved for the most part. They have the gift to give life but are taken for granted. Maybe it’s because they’re not all that flashy. And when they are fried, their life-giving potential is seriously compromised.

When the right time comes, and the soil is turned over, the fruits of the farmer’s labors come to light. Hmm. Reminds me a lot of believers.

    1. Ha! That is something to consider. I briefly looked up ''potatoes" and the saying eating 'meat and potatoes' came up. That speaks of growth, maturing. The potatoes maybe are so ready to be harvested. So, the harvest is ready. How we are supposed to pray for workers in the harvest Luke 10:2.

    2. This somehow sounds funny to me as we have a saying in Germany "The dumbest farmer has the biggest potatoes" (meaning dumb people often have better luck than the smart ones to illustrate Ecclesiastes 2:15 )... ;-)

    3. You can't have a discussion on potatoes without mentioning Angus Buchan, the South Afriican Evangelist. His first book, now a movie "Faith Like Potatoes" has been a favorite of mine. In the face of much adversity, during a severe draught, when no one else dared plant potatoes, Angus was obedient to what he felt God was calling him to do (even though it was foolish in so many eyes) and planted potatoes which led to a huge bumper crop when nobody else in the region had potatoes to sell. This eventually led to his evangelist ministry and orphanage I believe. Very cool story and engaging speaker... look up his videos if you can. Here is one....

    4. Dear Brad, TY for mentioning this! As a baby Christian, I have once watched the movie about his life and ministry and was deeply moved back then. Sadly, also this man doesn't seem to have "continued with us" (1 John 2:19) as he has developed into Dominionism and Roman Catholic Ecumenism like so many others who begun well at first glance...

Angus Buchan and the Roman Catholic reconciliation (click!)

You can always tell from the company a "Christian" chooses if his real hunger, thirst and zeal is for God and His word alone or rather for the world / men he compromises with. With God, there is NO compromise. MARANATHA!

    1. A bit of history ...
"The expression “French Fried Potatoes” first occurs in print in English in the 1856 work Cookery for Maids of All Work by E. Warren.

It is believed by some that the term “French” was introduced to the potatoes when the American soldiers arrived in Belgium during World War I and consequently tasted Belgian fries. It is suggested that they called them “French” as it was the official language of the Belgian Army at that time"

    2. Hey Cathi. Just got in from Ft. Worth. and catching up. It was a busy couple of days getting that job done and traveling back home. I loved reading the conversations above. TY all. Years ago, I took part in an in depth study of the Crucifixion and what that horrific execution physically entailed, but then to impose on that the contents of that cup...the one that had Him in agony and sweating as it were great drops of blood on the Mount of Olives at Gethsemane as He was to be numbered among the transgressors and bare the sin of many...and to come to the full realization that along with untold numbers, He saw me and all my undeserving wretchedness in that cup. And still...He who was without sin went willingly to pay that unsearchable price and had to ask My God, my God,
      why hast thou forsaken me?
How could we not search every day in every way yearning for the appearance of this One who first loved us so much, regardless of how long it takes? I am so grateful for all of you here who share that precious gift of longing with me.
Blessings and Maranatha to each of you!

    4. Cathi, I have a hard time with the heat but managing so far, lol. But my brother went to get his stitches out and the Dr. was amazed. Said he’d never seen a shoulder like that heal so quickly and told him to start using his arm and just not lift anything over his head for 4 weeks. I’ll still have to help for awhile but he can do some of the lighter stuff. I reminded him that he had some strong prayers behind that “amazing” result and to give The Lord his due in answering those prayers. He broke it only 2 weeks ago and had 2 plates
put in so that IS a blessing. Maybe I can get a few more breaks in the shade!😎:-D

Colossians 3:2-4

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Philippians 3:20-21

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
