Livestream w/ Adam Fink, Rob Stone and Scottie Clarke

Thank you Adam for doing this awesome conversation with Rob Stone and Scottie Clarke! This was a very edifying dynamic to watch and it was great to hear your thoughts on these things we have all been pondering.  It was also great for Scottie Clark to join and share what he has been up to since September.  What a wonderful conversation and example of fellowship... many will be blessed by this.  I made an outline of the conversation for everyone's convince, but I encourage you to watch the whole thing if possible.

Description:
Livestream with Scottie Clarke and Rob Stone! We talk about salvation through and from Yahshua Ha'Mashich (Jesus Christ) first and foremost. We also discuss some parts of the Revelation 12 sign, prophecy in general, Trump, Jerusalem and how to stay occupied in his Word until he comes. 1. I'm about an hour into the video. Listening to this and reading Scottie's Facebook post, I'm thinking a lot about a "Feast of Trumpets rapture" versus the "Doctrine of Imminence" that He can return any time. Personally leading up to the 9/23 Revelation 12 sign I would have said I was a Feast of Trumpets rapture proponent; after all it fit so well with the Revelation 12 sign and everything I had been studying from Scott and others; it was easy to believe. To be completely honest, my views since then have shifted more towards a "Doctrine of Imminence" rapture as I watch a pray for His return to happen anytime. I think like perhaps many of us, this shift is rooted in my strong desire to simply be with Jesus and go home, even if that means tweaking my views on the timing of the rapture a bit (and I don't admit that proudly). And now as 2017 winds down, I'm not giving up hope and I fully believe the rapture could happen at any time now (Maranatha!). But again, listening to this and looking at Scott's recent Facebook post, I think, what if the significance of 2017 (being an apparent Jubilee year with all the anniversaries and everything else) was simply meant to be Trump's Jerusalem declaration? Obviously I was hoping for more, but the pattern strongly fits with the Balfour declaration of 1917 and Israel recapturing Jerusalem in 1967. And for the record I do believe September 23 still points to the nearness of the rapture, whether imminent or at the Feast of Trumpets next year or some year soon after.

So my question to anyone as I'm trying to sort all this out in my mind, is that if you believe in a Feast of Trumpets rapture, then why be "watching" for Christ's return until then? Is there a point?

I love how this video is really causing me to reflect on the Revelation 12 sign, my own spiritual journey of this past year as I've watched and waited, and coming to terms with my views on the timing of the rapture. Maranatha and God bless!

    1. thanks for sharing your heart, Justin. So many of us can relate. I have people I respect on both sides of the imminence theory. I fully believe that God is a God of order. His ways are far above our ways and I am sure there is a beautifully prophetic significance to whenever the Rapture does happen. I also find it hard to believe that there is only 1 day a year we can expect the rapture... and if it doesn't happen that day, then buckle up for 365 days. That doesn't sit well with me either. Greg Lauer makes a good argument for Pentecost. Others makes great arguments for Imminences. Some others think wars, earthquakes and 3 days of darkness will happen just before the rapture. So I think God wants us engaged in watching, and we all have to figure out what that means.... but it is hard to deny that we can at the very least see the day approaching so we are commanded to gather together and by implication, discuss these things (Heb 10:25). So that is where I am at, the more we talk, the more we fellowship, the more likely we are to arrive at the right answers because as they said in the video, God gives little pieces to many different people who then must work together to put together the puzzle. That also keeps anybody from getting puffed up and puts all the Glory where it belongs, on Him!

    2. Thanks Brad, great thoughts! The heart and spirit you bring through this blog and your comments are a continual blessing. Thanks for your willingness to be an open and usable vessel for God's Spirit to work through in these days.

    3. Link to a Greg Lauer article is here: http://www.alittlestrength.com/articles/2017/1709-hour-of-prayer.htm Good read on his take for possible Pentecost rapture. There is a link to another one of his older Pentecost articles within this article from September.

Still "watching" for Greg's December article (hint hint).

    4. Yes, agree with Brad, several views that all make valid points. I'm sure someone has figured it out exactly but we won't really know that till we actually are " snatched ". in my humble opinion is that I think God just wants us to definitely be able to discern the times we are in and know that we are very, very close and if we don't figure out the exact day he won't hold that against us. There was a great article from Olive tree ministries posted on Dan Matson's face book page if anyone gets a chance to read that also. https://www.facebook.com/jason.carroll.355/posts/1398399456950022. Everything is happening as just such fast pace it's hard to keep up with all the news. . But , one thing for sure God is using president Trump to finish up these last days of the age of grace we just need to continue to pray for that man and pray that he continues to hearken to the voice of God.

    7. I think Pentecost makes the most sense, honestly. Seeing as the 70th anniversary of Israel is right next to it, I'm looking there as a prophetic amp-up period (and maybe a Rapture :D). Do note that it is going to probably be 70 HEBREW years from Israel's starting date, not Gregorian, to be a sign to Israel.

He which testifies to these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

    9. "Still 'watching' for Greg's December article (hint hint)."

pssst...I've got an inside tip on that one: It has nothing to do with the date of the Rapture, Pentecost or otherwise. =8(

      Sorry.

In fact, I have made a personal decision to refrain from writing anything that in any way seeks to try and pin down the date of the Rapture, or that could even be construed in that manner.

I hope those of you who know me know me well enough to know that I certainly don't say this to put any other brother or sister in Christ down in any way, but I just feel we have been given all the signs and confirmations we need. I for one am satisfied that Scripture clearly teaches we will *not* figure out the exact day of the Rapture, and so I want to focus my attention on other things. If that means becoming a persona non grata within the REV12 community (which already appears to be the case) and never having another one of my articles hit the big time, so to speak, that's a price I am perfectly willing to pay. I want to be fully satisfied with what God has clearly revealed--nothing more and nothing less, and just know that the season of the Rapture is upon us, whether that "season" turns out to be seven days or seven months.

      Or seven years.

We don't need to be concerned with dates--we need to be concerned with obedience.

At least I do. I need to be more concerned with my walk with the Lord. With staying in fellowship. With honoring Him and His Word and putting the gospel of His salvation first and foremost in my life. With not being argumentative and judgmental, which are things I *still* struggle with far more often than I would care to admit. After all, *those* are the kinds of things that will largely determine our future roles in the kingdom.

So, I guess you could say I want to be more "kingdom-minded," and for me personally the continued emphasis on the exact timing of the Rapture doesn't help in that regard. I'm sure I'm the only one, but believe me: My resume for the kingdom still needs *far* too much work for me to be spending my time puzzling over dates. YMMV.

      In Christ,
      Greg L.

    10. Thanks for your reply, Greg. I only meant that I'm "watching" for your next article as we do a lot of watching around here. Some of it is watching predicted dates pass by. I really enjoy your writing style and know that you have not been a date setter. I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

    11. Greg, I’m right there with you! Thank you for speaking your heart, I have been trying to say that, and I have been a persona non grata, lol, but that’s ok with me, like you I need to focus on staying in fellowship, and His Salvation, in other words my personal relationship and helping others in their walk, I know He is coming soon, and I will continue to watch, but my focus will be on the Sign maker! And I’m praying to be found worthy, as Paul said! Birekoth to you!

    12. If you're called to research the Lord's soon return....go for it. If you're being called to evangelize...go for it. If you're called to be more "kingdom minded"....go for it. I can sympathize with Greg. My resume is far too short for the kingdom, but then aren't all of ours? My point is, we're all different, and we're all called to do different things. I think the issue comes in when we try to tell others that they should be doing what we're doing or they're wrong (I don't think that is being done here by the way).

Some people's watching and calculating causes many to dig deeper into the Word...never bad IMO. We're all different parts called to different actions. After all, if we were all feet, what an ugly, stinky world this would be : ) (at least if they were like my feet)

The first article of Greg's that I read was the "exit sign" article....it was spot on then, and it only becomes more spot-on with each passing day. Too much has happened....we're there. At some point in the very near future, our bus is going to veer to the right & all this will be behind us. God bless! Soon and very soon!

  2. What is a watchman? He stands on the wall, looking for something. He sees someone on the horizon who might be an enemy. But he can't tell until that someone comes closer. However, he doesn't know WHEN he will come closer. On another note: Isaac Newton was a scientific hero, until Einstein came along. I've seen Newton's work. He was brilliant. I didn't ridicule him. Now, this is my model. Who says nothing happened on Sept 23? Is it possible the dead rose but we simply weren't on that wavelength? One word I hate in the good book is "then". I don't know how long that is, so when "we which are alive" get caught up, it is preceded by a "then". So I'm thinking maybe all is on track. The "then" just hasn't taken place yet. I have many irons in the fire as I'm watching. I like gematria, but I'm not good at it. I like mazzaroth. I'm a little better. I like dreams and visions etc. But I put mazzaroth higher on the list as it minimizes the error of translation. Before I tell you what I see in the sky, I would like to bring up a point. We seem to toss around Jewish and Gregorian calendars to make things fit. What I have noticed is that the Gregorian seems to fit somewhere, but why, since we are dealing with Jewish Holy days. So I thought, maybe God is dealing with modern Christians in a language we might understand. He knew the end. He knew there would be Christmas. You have to admit, there is a goodness of heart if you circumcise the pagan stuff. So now I'm looking at Stellarium. What I see is "RED" Mars chasing, and catching up to, Jupiter (the striped and wounded body). If allowed, Mars would overtake Jupiter on Jan 6/18. But it doesn't. Jupiter escapes into the altar/throne of God's Judgment, called Libra. When does this take place? Dec 24/25. This is a date that Christians understand. Now we know that Hanukkah is a celebration of lights, but so is Christmas. In between is darkness. If you treat the days something like hours, then you see the day of the cross played out in days and not hours. The last 3 hours of the cross were in darkness. After which HE rose out of his body, but descended to the grave. I'm giving you the reader's digest version. But what I think it all means is this. It looks like there might be a rapture on Christmas eve. But on Christmas day: sudden destruction. Pearl Harbour comes to mind, when everyone was asleep at the switch on a Sunday. So this event would take place in winter, and it would be on a Christian Sabbath. Now the only possible misinterpretation, still, is that I'm not sure of the "then" part. We have a clock above us but I can't guarantee it will tell us the day of the appointment. So I too am watching to see what happens. Cheers.

    5. I'm (still) with you Rye at the Mazzaroth issue! I don't cling to any special feast days either after all I've learned so far. Rev12-sign is a story told chronologically: so verse 1 (= great sign) was DEFINITELY fulfilled on 9/23/17 without doubt, verse 2 (= birth pangs) got to their peak on 12/6 with the Jerusalem declaration and follow up events, so I still watch verses 3-4 (another sign red dragon) to be revealed before verse 5 comes into effect and we're raptured out. And boy how the dragon IS being revealed!! Just look up how red the skies are and how many light sources and strange effects people see around the world... Don't you SEE that too? Matthew 16:2-3 Blessings, brother!

    7. I see no way to go back to a FoT as the probable date of Rapture, like I use to expect myself. Far too many 2017 convergences and Feast lessons learned for that to make sense to me anymore. I see FoT now as more likely being fulfilled by Yeshua at the 2nd Advent. The Mazzaroth has told the birth story, Israel is beginning to take her place front and center and the dragon is so close,
I expect we’ll need to be snatched out in front of his nose at any moment. That evil system is openly rearing it’s head all around us. As Adam was noting, we are already to the point where we must continually be looking up to Yeshua for our protection and that of our families from it’s evil influences. The deception is here and the thought of even another year after the events of only the past 3 or 4 months is hard to conceive.
When I the see that the Sanhedrin in full priestly garb are lighting incense in a Temple preparation worship service for the first time in 2000 years, I believe the stage has been set.
And it just seems like the Lord has made a point of having us take a close look at winter.
To me, it has truly become a matter of a moment by moment watching, praying and telling anyone who will listen.
      Maranatha!

    8. Sheila I did also for many years I expected the rapture on FoT but not anymore, in light of everything that has transpired these last few months I'M taking it day by day and IF we're not gone by the end of the year then maybe a thought for Pentecost. I had wondered for years just how close or how much we would be here to see ( Isaiah17 etc ) before we were raptured- no need to wonder anymore it appears we have front row seats.
Through and through. yes very good read from Jan -Olive tree ministries . I have read her site over the years and I believe she is very solidly grounded in the word I just think maybe she was like so many of us that we were always taught that ANYTHING astrology related was taboo and or witchcraft and therefore would not even give it a second thought . I have to admit until September 23 and the Revelation 12 sign I had never given much thought to Genesis 1 :14. I had read a great poem on this site or unsealed that someone had written about the Rev 12 sign being taboo and how the devil had deceived us for all these years so we would not study the sun, moon stars. maybe someone can find that poem and repost it. anyway -blessings to all.

    9. Donna, I have to admit I was really surprised to find out how many Christians do not discern the difference between Babylonian astrology and the Biblical study of the heavenly bodies as our God, himself, has purposed them. I’ve always seen them as declaring His Glory and many of my sweetest prayer times have come through just looking up at that unspoiled beauty and standing in awe of His handiwork.

  5. I am no one, but I submit for your consideration the following:
On 9/11/2001, following the bombing of the Twin Towers I pulled over to the side of the road and began crying out to God and praying asking him why he hadn't warned us and he said he had but that no one had listened. toward the end of talking with him I started to pray that he would Bless America and he stopped me and told me not to pray that He would Bless America but that He would sanctify America. So I've prayed that ever since.
Then on Obama's second inauguration day January 20th 2012 I was crying out to him about how this man could have won a second term and he said it was as with Israel in the time of Samuel that his people wanted a king so he gave them one. Then he said "But know that this one is a "Saul" but the next will be a "David". He wouldn't tell me who it would be, though I pressed Him, He but only say, "it will be an unlikely choice".
When Donald Trump announced his candidacy I knew he was the "David" God told me was coming & I believe it is the beginning of the sanctification I have been praying for for America since that day on the side of the highway in 2001.
I also believe that there is a possible connection between Deuteronomy 28:1-13 & Joseph's interpretation of Pharaoh's dream regarding 7 fat cows and 7 emaciated cows and what the church is going to be experiencing over the next seven years. That there will be 7 years of blessing and plenty in between the solar eclipse of 2017, beginning with President Donald Trump's declaration recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and his plans for moving our Embassy there, and the next one in 2024, and that around the time of the second eclipse that crosses America in 2024, the tribulation will begin.
I just thought I'd throw that out for your consideration.

    1. This is fascinating and I love that you shared it. I've wondered how the 7 years of plenty vs. 7 years of famine might play out, and I love that Joseph is such a perfect typology of Christ. Beautiful analogy. God bless you!

    2. Thank you for sharing! I am not sure if you know this or not, but what you wrote above about Joseph and the 7 years aligns very closely with the a theory Matt at the Daily Crow shared with me earlier this year. You may remember that he was one who was convinced the Rev12 sign was legitimate, but didn't see the rapture happening for up to 7 years after its appearance. While I am hoping for a sooner departure, it is a theory to be aware of. This also matches what Trey Smith shared about Trump and the Revelation 12 Sign and something Kim Clement shared be for he died. (I share these for your reference, not an endorsement per say). 4. I believe that the (re)birth of the state of Israel in 1947/48 was the very first big end times sign and event that started the prophetic clock of the last generation ticking. Scripture confirms that a generation is 70 years and if strength is given it’s 80 years. Adding 80 years to 1947/48 is 2027/28 (as the last possible years of the Second Coming) which to me excludes the possibility of a 2024-2031 tribulation period. So many prophetic events are converging with accelerating speed right now, (and as birth pang events they should accelerate and grow in frequency and intensity), I really don’t think that our world will make it till 2024 with no tribulation period starting. (For a while I considered the 1967 recapture of Jerusalem as the starting point of the last generation but then because of various reasons I changed my mind about it. As many others, I also believe now that the state of Israel coming into existence is the real deal for the starting point of the last-generation count.) I’m familiar with Mark Taylor the fireman’s writings which according to his claim the Lord Himself dictated to him (he’s speaking in the Lord’s name in those writings) about the future rise of America under Donald Trump. It’s just me, but those writings felt off to my discernment. In general, I’m much more with Pastor JD Farag on the current prophetic outlook that several major end times prophecies are very near, some of them on the brink of happening (mostly in the Middle-East). I really don’t think that we have another 7 years left considering all the other nations and the prophetic events happening next to the USA.

    6. Yep, Annabel, great tensions are everywhere. Russia vs NATO, North-Korea vs USA, not to mention the Middle-East where prophesied wars are about to break out any minutes now which will start a chain-reaction of other prophetic events. Concerning President Trump, I think that Pastor JD Farag was right saying that his presidency caused prophetic events to accelerate instead of slowing them down. Because of his formal acceptance of Jerusalem as Israel's capital, the tag of war over the city significantly intensified and the prophecied dividing of Jerusalem and the land of Israel is even more in the picture now than before. It seems so that the Lord's attention is shifting back to Israel and Jerusalem as well.

  6. Morning All! Such fascinating comments and theories. I have vacillated from Imminence to Feast of Trumpets to Pentecost and everything in between over the years. If you dig for the nuggets there is so much to recommend any feast day and so many other days in between. Rev 12 was The Sign - without question. The Total Eclipse was a sign - without question. I admit Zoe, when I saw that second Total Eclipse crossing the US marked for 2024 my heart sank and I considered it America's warning and I prayed not for 7 years of waiting, but I do not know. Over the past 4 years I've been fairly certain a few dates would be the one - and the Rapture did not occur, but other things followed which were clearly prophetic. What the Spirit has now trained me to recognize is His Sovereignty "while we occupy". It means to me, holding loosely the things of this world and even the things of prophecy. Let me be clear - the things of this world only matter as they effect souls and those who can go with us. The things of prophecy in God's Word, for those are identifiable and have witness, are the most important thing in the world and are directly linked to those souls. The blessings I have received from following, studying and discussing prophecy are immeasurable and I will continue until He calls us home, but now I have learned by experience to hold those things loosely as well. The Prophecies are absolute, the interpretations are the loosely held treasures. Experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. Those other times I wanted the Rapture and didn't get it, I learned greater depth in the Scripture and more wonderful friends on the same path as I am. I learned people of good heart with a deep love for the Lord do not have to draw lines in the sand on everything (some things yes) and break fellowship over differences of opinion. I learned traveling on the journey to heaven via the Rapture is a joyous, blessed life experience which will only pale in comparison to the actual arrival and the up close and personal view of the Savior's blessed face. I have learned not to be threatened by another prophetic viewpoint or date to consider for I treasure every one - they cause me to study, to mine for gold in the Word. A high watch date for me now has become a joyful watching with no let-down if it doesn't occur, because I know it will occur one day whether it is on any high watch list or not. I cannot subscribe to a specific feast date, nor can I subscribe to just any old day - I subscribe to sovereignty. I'm still the little child bouncing up and down in the back seat asking, "Daddy, are we there yet?". But, I have learned to look out the windows and see the beauty of the Lord's creation as the world goes by. I have learned to be more careful to do what the Spirit tells me to do or encourages me to do more quickly rather than procrastinate. But, most of all . . . I have learned to Trust in His Word, His Plan . . . and His Sovereignty. 1. Well, I immediately stopped celebrating both Christmas and Easter (= Ishtar!) after the LORD had led me to read Alexander Hislops "The two Babylons" shortly after being saved in 2005. Here's the biblical background FYI: Teaching on 1 Samuel 15 = the sin of Saul just food for thought... Thank you, Alla dear sister! :)

    2. After having peeped half into Amirs video I find it odd how he can teach Christians from the Gentiles (!) on that to say "I don't care if a tree stands in your living room" if even his Jewish unbelieving 'fellows' in Galilee wouldn't understand and mock Christianity as reactionary. I think this alone is proof enough that these pagan holidays are obviously NOT the best occasion to preach and share the TRUE gospel to be understood and accepted by unbelievers, IMO there are around 360 better days per year for Christians to witness their LORD according to what is really taught in the bible...

    3. Annabel, I must say I agree with you about this totally pagan holiday, which we are clearly told in the scripture, not to follow, it’s not easy, as my family has always placed this holiday high on the list, in good intentions, but nonetheless wrong. As I try to set an example, and not celebrate , many have left my side, thinking I have totally lost it, after all it celebrates the birth of our savior, another deception brought to us by ha satan. I thank YHWH for opening my eyes to this and Easter, and I hope others will be led to worship Him, in the way He wants, NOT the way we choose! Blessing to you!

    4. Yes, Annabel, I had exactly so feelings as you in a half of video! All my relatives are unbelieving Jews and celebrate Christmas simply for joy and cheerfulness. It's really useless to preach the gospel to them in this time. I preach to them when they are in trouble or have problems. This is the best time, in my experience, always. And my friends and acquaintances come to me when they have problems, with their relatives, and ask to pray with them and tell them more about the Bible and the Lord. All these people know that I study the Bible, but keep a distance, until the trouble comes. They accept the Lord, and the Bible as a gift and leave, and then are immersed in the world always. And then their friends or relatives call me, and are interested in the Bible and the Lord in detail, and ask me to send them something to study.
I've also read the book of Alexander Hislop, it's really great! I didn't celebrate the pagan feasts since I accepted the Lord Jesus as my Saviour. I always try to stand where He put me, as I think, until He turns me Himself. This has happened several times in my history. Such a push is always very powerful, He turns me steadily. And He brought me to your family, and I think all these signs are very real, and September 23 first of all. And this December is full of signs, inclusive Hanukkah! The sign shows the near fulfillment! So I'm waiting for the Lord every moment now! Very much blessings to all! Maranatha!

    5. This is a really tough subject for me. We haven't celebrated Christmas in our home in three years now. I genuinely felt it was not the right thing to do, once I understood its roots. Yet, this year after reading Jeff's article on Christmas at Unsealed and being so fascinated to learn knew things about that time (although it certainly wasn't Dec 25th according to my studies), I was led to write A Christmas Story. I surely know I didn't do that of my own accord, for my family was very surprised I did it. However, I really felt led to do it. Hopefully, it will give a new appreciation with new information from the Word for others as it did for me. The thing I realized in doing it, is the time it occurred isn't the point for we all understand where that particular lie came from, Thank you Constantine. But, in turning from the date, I had turned from the beauty and reality of the story itself. Historically and astronomically, it most likely occurred (His birth) on Tishrei 1, 3 BC - September 11, 3BC. So, if you take that understanding and then read the story of when it occurred without all the pageant misunderstandings we've been fed - it brings great joy. I had thrown the baby out with the bath water - no pun intended, and I did miss the beauty of the story of His Birth. Again, I think it is part of that circle of learning for me, to learn how to strip out the bad and leave the good. The bad for me is the frenzy of uncontrolled spending, the tree and its pagan roots and the parties with liquor and glutting the focus of the attraction. The good is the birth of the Savior and all the majesty and beauty surrounding that. This has brought some Biblical balance back for me. Here's a link if you'd like to read it. You all are my gift from the Savior this year - every day, not just one. Be Blessed for you have been a Blessing to Me -https://heavenslibrary.wordpress.com/christmas/

    8. @Alla I like your remarks on your personal evangelisation so much, be steadfast and keep going like you are, never mind the outcome which must be of the LORD anyway! Stay blessed! :)

@Truthisall yes it might seem hard to separate on things like esp. Christmas but if you really want to celebrate GOD and lift HIM up you can't do it on a pagan holiday that belongs to Satan from the start anyway. You know I'm not that "holy" at all to be abstinent of all worldly things but if I do them for my pleasure I do NOT claim I do them to "honour the LORD" which would be a complete lie! And how could I lie to the Holy Spirit who knows me inside out anyway??! Continue your walk and never mind the opinion of people if you want to please God. It's not their business to judge your personal relationship with Jesus.

@Sherry dear sister I think you've done well to throw the baby out with the bath water at first because this was the Holy Spirit working. If you may take your time read the teaching on 1 Samuel 15 I linked above in my first response to Alla as this is the real deal on this issue. You're in the third year of abstinence, please continue - it will get better every year to increase the distance between you and the world. After 11 times now I'm completely detached from all this. It's all pure EMOTION and SENSUALITY you know. Satan is good at playing on emotions, the lights, the music, the smell, the colors, all that family kitsch... But I don't need that anymore to remember what Jesus means to me personally. Nor does it influence any of my deep emotions for Him which are totally of another kind than this worldly hypocrisy once a year. In contrast, I feel more and more PITY for those who need all this stuff to remember Christ. Sherry, if you continue as you started you will find even more than your "first love" I assure you! May the LORD ever bless your love to glorify HIM. Your family may accept it or not, never mind. If it's about Jesus as you say then it's ALL about Him and you sacrifice ALL your flesh to please Him. In 1 Samuel 15 Amalek is the imagery for the "flesh" (thats the reason why God wants the Amalekites to be wiped out completely). The emotional elements of Christmas are "flesh". But God wants to be worshipped in SPIRIT and in TRUTH (John 4), remember? Please continue your walk and be blessed always! Praying for you in this season Sherry, YSIC with much love :)

    10. Annabel, rest assured I'm still safe from the Pagan Holiday. I didn't change anything I did outwardly - no tree, no presents, no parties and no decorations or lights. I am strongly convicted, for me that is wrong because I do have knowledge of their origins and I do not want to be conformed to the world. The change I made this year was of the heart - to not simply abstain from the evil, but to inwardly, mentally and in my heart embrace His Birth and ponder on the things relating to His Birth. No presents - simply the Presence. I drew closer to Him and I spent more energy and effort to bring the focus of those who have not been given the understanding of the pagan accoutrements of the season back to a focus on His birth, His Life, His death and, most importantly, His resurrection. I learned you can absolutely do so and not "rejoin" the world and not endorse wrong thinking. I learned its a far more delicate line to walk FOR the real, the best, the lasting than to stand in silent or accusatory opposition to the counterfeit . I am absolutely a non-Christmas supporter, but a Jesus all year round supporter. Rather than ignore the season and pretend it doesn't exist outwardly, I've chosen to walk more closely WITH Him while I stand out of and away from the counterfeit. That's always a good thing. Blessings, Sherry

    11. Sherry, I’m glad you have been given that sweet revelation. As for me, I’m still trying to suck it up so to speak, to the fact that my family thinks something is wrong with me, however when I try to explain, they....not having the knowledge of the history, idolatry and paganism that to me is so clear, just tell me, I’m living under the laws of the first covenant, sigh,,,,,,,I want to ask them,,,,,so when did The Fathers loving instructions for life apart from this world change? But I don’t, I just stay to myself....Truth is they DONT want to know. I’m trying to figure out how some see clearly, and others don’t, they make a million excuses as to why they celebrate, not just my Family, but I see main stream ministry doing the same, like Annabell pointed out about Amir, in His video it was plain to see the excuses, but wait I thought......what about The Fathers words to us, can we just put those on the back burner, and do our thing? Crazy isn’t it? I see what your saying about enjoying Him, through all this Madness, I too hope to arrrive to that place! Birekoth Sister!

    12. Well, I liked Amir's video. His point was to ask what and why are you worshipping? That the issue wasn't what day you celebrated or if you had a tree or not. Yes, these are pagan practices and God hated their festivities etc in the OT - strong language - so, whether Jewish or the christian celebrations today - the point is - where is your heart.
I don't think it matters that they were pagan practices. I can enjoy a decorated tree. I am not worshipping it. As Amir said - am I using the Christmas season as an opportunity to share the gospel? To use the name of Jesus because there is power in that name. Rather than debating having a tree etc. to others was his point, I think.
His video spoke to my heart - because I don't witness. This reminds me of my elderly Mom putting a statue of the virgin Mary on the front lawn last summer. A first. I think I asked my Mom - who saves you from your sins? She had to stop and think about this. Jesus, she exclaimed! Anyway, the next time I came over it was gone. She didn't want it to get wet. I think it is back in the basement. Why did she want it in the front yard, I asked her. Because everyone else had theirs out she noticed in going here and there. Maybe that says it all.

    13. Cathi, The Word clearly tells us, that we are not to worship Him as the pagans did, and we are not to use anything that they used as a form of worship to Him, what you do is of course your own business, the point here is.....we should look to the scripture to find out what and how He wants us to worship Him, not make up days and pick our time when WE want to, we all will do what we see as acceptable in His eyes, and for me, I choose not to use anything that was ever used for anything pagan to worship Yahshua, or Abba Father, IMHO, ministers should be educating us on the origination of these man made holidays, and then we can choose what we want to do from there, I had someone do that for me, and I choose to go with what His word said about it, that’s all I was trying to convey.
Jer. 10:2-4 -Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.
“Do not worship the Lord your God in the way these pagan peoples worship their gods. NRSV. You shall not worship the Lord your God in such ways. NRSVA.
As far as OT, we still use all that is written in the First covenant, except animal sacrifices, and we no longer need a priest to go The Father, all of His loving instructions for the way we conduct our lives, are still very much alive and well! Blessings!

    14. Truthisall - I do not see the Jeremiah passage referring to cutting trees down to having a Christmas tree. I see this in the context of molding and adorning an object made to worship as a god. Amir did mention this passage as to cutting down trees, but his purpose in that video wasn't to discuss pagan practices. So. I will do the same. He references 1 Cor 9:19-22 to do with Paul being a servant to all, and all things to all people so as to win some (to believe in Christ). This was Amir's reference to worshipping in spirit and in truth. Thus, using the Christmas season to share the gospel. That, I believe he said, it would be pagan to not say anything about Jesus, the gospel. Food for thought, I think.

    15. Dear Cathi, please scroll up to the first comment I gave to Alla in this thread: I have posted a link to a teaching about 1 Samuel 15 there. Please read it and understand GODS view on these things. You cannot rededicate a pagan festival to Jesus Christ or take (ANY!!) elements from it and think it could somehow please the Father. If God already judges JEWISH (i.e. His own dedicated feast days from Lev23!) observance of appointed times in Isaiah 1 where it is a matter of "heart" to Him how much more must He condemn all PAGAN / HEATHEN sort of worship being declared as (re-)dedicated to Him!! Compare to what Gideon did with his fathers statue of Dagon (he didn't put it back in the basement, he destroyed it!) or what God showed Ezechiel in chapter 8 (Tammuz in v.14 = baby Jesus today FYI). BTW Mary is still the same "Queen of Heaven" Jeremiah 7 and 44 talk about and Alexander Hislop has analyzed. It's always the same principle from Babylon UNTIL TODAY. You cannot give an excuse of any sort to what "Christ-Mass" and "Ishtar" (Easter godess of fertility) really are. Not your personal view is relevant, GODs is. And there is plenty of His comment on that in the bible. If you cannot understand this, I cannot help it, only He can open your heart to this. MARANATHA!

    16. Annabell, very well said, except, Abba doesn’t hate His way of worship during the appointed times, He hated what they had done to them, making them into their ways of worship, adding to and taking away, same thing as people do now, making holidays up to worship, that were NEVER conceived by or from Him, so that they can add to and take away! 22. Annabel and Truthisall, I am happy to consider finding more correct and pure ways to worship my Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ and put aside anything of this world in order to be more like Him. But, your hard line comes off condemning and religious at times here. I love you and recognize you both as siblings in Christ. But it seems you are saying we are not supposed to love and adore the story of His birth? Is that what you are saying? Annabel, I get especially bewildered at your boasting of lack of emotion and often you seem to suggest you have a monopoly on understanding. I am having trouble fitting this into my understanding of fruit. Please understand, I am writing this out of love, with the hopes that you will help me see what I am not able to see between or in the lines of your comments above. If perhaps my critique is right, then I pray you will understand that I am pointing it out to build up rather than tear down.

Lastly, I see this whole Christmas thing as an opportunity to apply 1 Corinthians chapters 8 through 10 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=1+Corinthians+8-10) which occurs just three chapters before 1 Corinthians 13.

Let me summarize my understanding: Christmas is a holiday with pagan and Christian roots/elements. A Christian who celebrates Christmas could in fact trip up/confuse a non-Christian. We should be careful not to do that according to the passage. But the passage also implies that Christians are not bound by the laws any more, decorating a tree or enjoying the holiday with family has no bearing on us just as eating meat sacrificed to idols has no effect. The idols are dead and stupid. The whole point for a Christian is that only one thing, or rather person, matters: Jesus. We are free to do as we do as long as we are not hurting anyone or causing them to stumble and as long as we are doing it for Jesus and as long as it is not morally wrong.

For those who have chosen NOT to celebrate Christmas: Is it obvious to those around you that you are not being a scrooge, that you are not being some religious fanatic who raises oneself above others by following more rules, that you serve a God who has freed you to live abundantly in Him?

For those who have chosen to celebrate Christmas: Is it obvious to those around you that Jesus is your focal point, that santa, materialism, gluttony and drunkenness are not things that you value? That the story of Christs birth is more than an old story to you?

I imagine, applied broadly, I've heard some version of a similar story from many on this and many other pages. Still, as I treasure the afterglow of the Rev12 Great Wonder in my heart, I have to ask, isn't this a magical Christmas this year, in a different and relevant way? How long has it been since YOU had a hard time sleeping in anticipation of a surprise In the morning? Well, as crazy-making as this watching is, isn't it wonderful to be thoughtful of our Lord's moving SUDDENLY, wow! 2. A persons credibility is affected by how they live. Those who teach gods word are to be above reproach in all things and yes that is possible. The man who taught me most of my theology modeled that for me. Although my biblical anthropology tells me differently, I have never known him to sin. That is the model we are to follow. If bible prophecy does not bring people to a holy standard then they are not being led by the spirit. There is a major difference in stumbling into sin and immediately repenting and livening in it.

      Delete
    3. BTW any thing I teach on bible prophecy or anything else from the scripture is done with the express purpose of calling people to a holy standard.

I did notice that he wore a gold band during the Idaho Watchman's Conference during the August solar eclipse. However, up until the conference and afterwards, he didn't wear a ring on his finger. Maybe he wore a ring to keep interested women at bay. I'm just guessing. Otherwise, it's goofy to wear a wedding ring one weekend out of the year.....As Jesus said, "He who is without sin cast the first stone." No one can know what is in another's heart. I chose to give Scottie the benefit of the doubt and I do believe Scottie loves The Lord with all his heart, mind, soul, and strength. His videos show his passion for people and the Lord.

    7. Dear Sarah Tinkham, I don't think the birth of Isaac can be a pattern for the church because Sodom was destroyed earlier so that would mean a mid- or post-trib rapture somehow. Besides, not Sarah but LOT is a pattern for pre-trib salvation according to Rev3:10 as he is clearly mentioned in Luke 17:28-30 where the literal comparison is to be found. So Scottie has picked the wrong character here to search out the pattern. Blessings to you!

Colossians 3:2-4

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

1 Peter 2:9

Philippians 3:20-21
