Comfort in Isaiah...

“Seek the LORD while he may be found;
call upon him while he is near;
let the wicked forsake his way,
and the unrighteous man his thoughts;
let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
Isaiah 55:6–11(ESV)
While we are about to flip the page on another month (our favorite month for some of us), I wanted to share the above verse as a comfort and encouragement.  His word, His prophecy, His promises, His RETURN will be fulfilled.  It will happen.  It will definitely, 100%, count your life on it happen.  And every day that passes brings us that much closer to seeing it happen with our own eyes.  Just as you are seeing this text you will see JESUS IN HIS GLORY!  Amen and Abba Up!

  1. Brad...thanks for starting a new thread and sharing the artwork of Akiane Kramarik "Prince of Peace".  As many of you know, that painting was done when she was only 8 years old.  Such a gifted child who clearly saw Jesus or received inspiration from the Holy Spirit to draw such a painting.   Several years ago I purchased a print of that painting from the Akiane Gallery and placed it in our home.   I pray and look at it every day.    Such a Blessing!

Colossians 3:2-4

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Philippians 3:20-21

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself.
