It's Raining Again...
Well, as I type this it is raining again... and as you may have seen some in the media have already deemed 2025 as the "Year of the Flood". They may not know the Biblical implications of such a phrase, but you can see why they are drawing attention to all the flooding. There have already been more flash floods than there are in a typical year with plenty more rain on the way according to the experts. Add in the catastrophic floods at Camp Mystic, in Spain, and hundreds of other places seemingly day after day, well maybe God is trying to tell us something...
As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left. Matt 24:37-41When I think about Noah, I think about the FAITH it took to believe when all the world around him seemed to indicate he was wrong. All the time and effort he put into building that Arc, nowhere near an ocean, in bright sunny skies. I am sure he was mocked and ridiculed by those around him, inside and outside his family. But he believed Gods Word, took it literally, and was prepared when the great day came. And for everyone else when the rain started falling it was too late...

Dan 9:26When I first became saved there was a singer named Misty Edwards that I used to listen to alot as her music really seemed to be filled and inspired by the Holy Spirit. Many of her songs are about Bible prophecy and there were many that I loved because her lyrics were powerful and she wasn't trying to be mainstream. Wow, Brad, thank you for this powerful post. For all those who think we still have a decade or more years here, I just don't see how that can be with all the signs on earth--social, technological, geopolitical, environmental, astronomical et al--taking place now. Especially significant among them is technology and trans-humanism, which as Pastor JD says, is soon to outpace Rev. 13. Regardless of when the Rapture occurs, there can be no doubt we are on the cusp of the Tribulation. Only God 's hitting the pause button, which He certainly can do, can slow things down now imho.

I always thought Jacob got Rachel when, after he learned of Laban's deception, complained but still received her as wife but having to serve an additional 7 years to pay (bride price), after the fact. My Internet search seems to give answers seeing it both ways, he gets her, then serves, or he serves then gets her. Either way, he paid an additional 7 years to have the love of his life. Israel, who dismissed and rejected her first Love, is going to have to pay a last 7 years to be married to her God. As you have mentioned before the Trib is also a final Sabbath of years Israel owes the Lord, so as usual layers of meaning. Min. Larry, Lu, I agree that 9AV has nothing to do with the Church--unlike Pentecost, which does. IF the rapture is to be tied to any of the Lord's Feast days, Pentecost truly is the only one that makes sense, even tho a case can be made for each of the others. The point is the Feast Days are uniquely given to Israel. True Pentecost, not Shavuot, is for the Church.
Lu, I'm sure you have explained this before (🤔) but I'm not sure what you mean by : "As the last 7 Years of the Church Age are still required."
And on another subject. We keep watching the push for a "Two State Solution" as prophetic fulfillment of Joel 2 waiting in the wings. Occurs to me that the dividing of God's land has already been fulfilled: Gaza, incl expulsion of Jews from their homes in 2005, and the "West Bank," both areas considered Palestinian. They simply aren't a formal internationally recognized sovereign nation, yet. Israel paid a high price for relinquishing Gaza and that cost can never be reclaimed. Reminds me of the song "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" "When will they (we) ever learn, when will they ever learn?"

ReplyDeleteBtw, I was watching a meteorologist on the news this morning and he said there are more 1000-year floods this summer due to the following:
Warmer Air ➡️ More Evaporation ➡️ More Precipitation
Basically, as temperature increases there is more water available in the atmosphere. Or for every 1° F increase in temperature, there is 4% more water vapor available to fall as precipitation.
Throw in some cloud seeding and other forms of weather manipulation and you significantly increase the flood risk.
Needless to say, when YHVH wants it to rain or have catastrophic flooding like in the "Days of Noah" it will supernaturally happen!
