Jupiter at it's Brightest
Tonight, if you look to the Eastern horizon, just after the sun sets you will see Jupiter rising above the horizon just as the sun goes down. It will be hard to miss as it will clearly be the brightest object in the sky. In fact, I am sure that if you grab a basic pair of binoculars you will be able to see several of the moons of Jupiter (with good eyes and great conditions you may even be able to see them with the naked eye). As a few hours go by Jupiter will rise higher in the sky and soon be due South. This is when it should be most spectacular. On top of this, Jupiter will be basically be at opposition, which means we get a view of the entire face of the planet, kind of like what a full moon looks like as you see the full circle of the moon.
